Villain is 25/21/2 and seems to be a pretty solid reg, I'm running at 23/20/3 and havea clean image which is why I c/r bluffed the turn. I hit tp on the river, b/f or c/f?

come on you guys this is interesting, thoughts?

I think I valuebet here, but if I check then I fold to a bet. I guess I'd bet like 85-95, and fold to a raise as he is never bluff shoving. If your image is actually squeaky clean here I'm gonna feel dumb when he only calls w/ 6x.

I think I prefer a b/f. Its tough for him to have a hand that just call the river that you beat imo, and there are a good few hands that he can call with imo.

I would probably c/c depends how much he bets.

But now when we got time to think, like buff disciple says that bet would pretty nice play and of course fold to raise. I would bet little bit less(60-75) because im weak.

Is there any merit in c/r slightly bigger on turn?

maybe, but I feel like since the board is so dry this sized raise accomplishes the same thing

Agree on raise sizing (with OP). I think you can mix it up here, but of course this situation comes about very rarely so I doubt it matters much. With his call he might be getting stubborn with like 77-99, or could def be SPing a house. I think I like b/f cuz I think he's probably checking back the mid pair hands (and will prob call river) and value towning you with better. I also think betting saves you money when he has like JJ or QQ (he prob RRs those a lot, but just saying) cuz he's most likely calling river bet whereas he's probably value shoving when you check river and then ur in a weird spot and convincing urself to station.

I don't think there is ever a reason to c/c, unless you think he'd turn 33 into a bluff by shoving (even that I think he checks down, but esp he checks 77-99). If I check, it is because I've decided he will fold those hands but get to showdown with them if I check through. I guess he has 78 a little here, but I think he just checks it down w/ how weird you played this hand.

And the more I think about it, I like your raise sizing a lot on the turn and the more I think river is much closer to a valuebet like always. I think w/ that size raise on turn, he shoves most all 6s, so that makes his range like FHs and pps that he might call imo. Easier b/f the more I look @ it.

c/f imo, dont think he'll be bettin less for value, and doubt he's got a lone 4 much

I rather c/c than b/f river.
You get called by overpairs that are ahead but no one else calls.

A bet on the river accomplishes nothing.

if you have a clean image i'd prob c/f river
02-07-2009 , 10:16 PM
He doesnt bet worse but he'll call a half bet w 77-99.

c/r sizing is very awful imo.
