Villain was unknown - seemed a bit aggro but I dunno I had just got to the table an orbit ago and he's not a reg

Full Tilt Poker $0.50/$1 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

SB: $126.60
BB: $114.95
Hero (UTG): $113.15
MP: $143.15
CO: $34.15
BTN: $15.45

Pre Flop: Hero is UTG with K K
Hero raises to $3.50, 3 folds, SB calls $3, 1 fold

Flop: ($8.00) J 4 Q (2 players)
SB bets $5, Hero calls $5

Turn: ($18.00) 8 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $13.50, SB calls $13.50

River: ($45.00) 2 (2 players)
SB bets $32, Hero calls $32

He kind of tanked before checking over the turn and I felt a bit creeped out.

I elected not to raise the flop this time, generally I would - don't recall my logic for it in hindsight tbh.

Well, the 2 didn't change anything.

My first thought is that your hand is so underrepped you have to call. Villain could be bluffing or valuing worse.

Flop call is fine.

ya the 2 doesn't bother me.

i was just confused by his line - if he was vbetting why c/c the turn with Qx? or then not just c/c the river again if he was scurred with QT or block bet smaller?

i expected him to check the river and i'd value bet and be good like always.

the only draw that missed that he might bluff with is KT i guess, which is somewhat unlikely with my blockers.

Yeah, its a weird spot, but its a pretty cheap showdown and both of your ranges are very wide.

thx for the response ike

when he tanked the turn my spidey sense was tingling. i wanted to fold the river but logic took over and i called and mhing. i agree with your logic, just wanted some feedback.

well lets say you raised the flop, bet turn, and then got donked into like this.

fold.

given that you called flop to disguise your hand, it opens up your range to the point where villain could easily have AQ, KQ, Q10 as much as 109 or QJ. There aren't many two pair combos to be worried about. Also, just keep in mind that villain got min value in a situation that is normally very profitable for him. Take that as a victory and run.

std unless you wanted to raise flop but w/e

nothing wrong with a flop raise either but as played it is fine imo

yah i was just thinking most villains with KQish would either bet turn > bet river, c/c turn > c/c river, or c/c turn > c/c river - the bet/call/bet line threw me off

i was expecting to see T9/QJ. villain showed 88 and i was like 'oh sweet! oh wait...'
