i was considering folding, since i dont have many recent notes on this computer. But the only hand that had me crushed was AQ that he might do this with.

I'm all for checking back AdAx on a QdTd4d board... but just doesn't make a lot of sense to check there imo.
09-01-2009 , 08:49 PM
Since nitrub was asking, I was trying to think of some situations where you might want to do either option, although I don't think I've ever checked in that spot either.

Man I'm kind of tired, I was playing a donkament for 3.5 hours, lost, then cash, didn't eat dinner, probly going to order something now
09-01-2009 , 09:16 PM
Watching the '09 wsop me on tv and some guy just squeezes raymer's raise w/ KK and raymer 4bets his JJ and the dude folds his kings.
ahahahahahahhahhahaha, HOW THE **** DO THESE PPL GET TEN ****ING THOUSAND DOLLARS TO PLAY THIS?
09-01-2009 , 09:54 PM
yeah wtf at that... ahaha when I saw him sort of sighing and norman said he was hollywooding I had a feeling he wasn't. He genuinely looked upset.

but jesus I dunno if it's editing but he folded that **** pretty fast
09-01-2009 , 10:00 PM
he knew a world champion wouldn't get it in with a hand that KK beats

Really? I know I'm getting a sick price but he's a station and a fish and he basically always has something at this point so I don't really expect him to bluff ever. Obviously now I know he can but without having seen him do anything but check and call up until this point I would think this is a fold.
09-01-2009 , 10:21 PM
i think calling is pretty spewy against the described player. i mean, your reads could be off but probably he just weirded out for a sec and you made a good fold against his range
09-01-2009 , 10:26 PM
Yep, its a good fold. I used to call those spots a lot and saw a bluff there perhaps a couple of times only. Interestingly, I don't remember seeing any air - always some bottom - middle pair type of hand.
09-01-2009 , 10:28 PM
How would they get to the river with air? Unless it was 87 or something
09-01-2009 , 10:33 PM
Some other donk at the table had been berating him for being such a station and he had also lost about $400 since I sat down by paying off so maybe he suddenly got inspired to change his ways.
09-01-2009 , 10:37 PM
Fishes range for peeling flop is usually a little wider than two matching cards or a 4 card SD.
09-01-2009 , 11:28 PM
Ridic awesome flop for black tens, no wonder you shoved.
