Fun story: apparently, as a State-of-California school, Berkeley is not allowed to spend money on alcohol. This is clearly unacceptable when trying to recruit grad students. So, the Biophysics department has a "recruiting fellowship" that they award each year with the understanding that all of the fellowship money will be spent on alcohol for recruits

tbh pretty good, all components of my app line well against all my schools. I didn't really apply to any safety schools either, so lets hope I dont get ****ed by that. I don't want to go to a safety school though, so I saw no point in applying to one.

M-bio grad school is 5-6 years usually, so I'm not keen on the idea of committing myself to a school where I don't want to be. If I get 5 rejections, I have nfi what I would do. I'd probably do whatever I had to do to get my resume to the point where I could actually get into the schools that I want. Hopefully I won't have to worry about that though, ill cross that bridge if I have to.

Sorry, this is semi-poker related. I'm making a huge playlist to randomize for when I'm grinding. I have 330 songs so far, but I NEEEED more. Can some of you just post like 4 or 5 of your favourite songs to listen to while playing poker (preferably no techno)

sopranos is definately worth a watch if you are interested in mob/crime shows and whatnot. And is probably still worth a watch even if you aren't into mob movies.

I mean it's not exactly like authentic, but most people won't be able to tell the difference unless you look at it really closely. Definitely worth the 30 bucks or whatever IMO as opposed to like 250.
