Shopping with girls is the nuts. Just make sure they're girls who you're attracted to. I mean, you gotta figure you want clothes that attract the type that you like right? So ask em.

The outfits that I've had that have gotten the most love over the years have been those that girls have actually bought me.

And Raz - just wearing what you like is awful advice. I mean - it's basically the same as saying 'just be yourself' which is like - the most widespread generally accepted awful advice of all time. Don't 'just be yourself' cause chances are you're a lazy ****ing loser if you're asking someone for any advice where the response comes back 'just be yourself', and clearly you have terrible friends as THAT was the best advice they could come up with. Instead - work harder and be your best self.

I'd add that if I just 'wore what I liked' all the time, I'd never change out of my sweats / Jordan shorts / hoodies and sneaks and that **** just ain't acceptable.

Yeah, that's pretty ridiculous. Kids don't dress themselves because they'd all have capes and goggles. Most adults don't have the best fashion sense, and we don't really know what looks good. What you're saying is like saying, "Why would you ask a tech person what computer you'd like when you can just get one?"

I don't really care about fashion, but women do. Since I don't have a strong opinion about what clothes I should wear, why wouldn't I wear clothes with getting laid in mind?

... Looks like Snipe beat me to it.

Snipe-It is not about 'just being yourself' or other esoteric bull****. If you can't even dress yourself you have issues. If all the clothes I wore were picked out by other people I'd feel like a fake.

Lol at the tech person/computer example. Such a terrible analogy. Its all subjective. Unlike a computer.

So you don't own any other clothes you actually like? I feel sorry for you then. Always running around in clothes you hate.
04-26-2010 , 10:32 PM
this is getting ridiculous, it seems to me that it's kind of obvious that we aren't wearing clothes we dislike. i doubt snipe wears anything uncomfortable on a regular basis just to look good, in a non-work environment.

and as far as colors and patterns and ****, it's all the same to me, so might as well go with whats popular if you are dressing to go out somewhere

it's more of a second opinion anyway,

"i like this, do you think it looks good?"
"no"
"okay how about this other thing i like"
"yeah the ladies go crazy over those"

I'm saying, you can get the best computer, or you can get whatever you think is ok. Much like, you can wear the clothes that most people think are attractive, or you can go around in whatever you think is probably attractive. Until you have a really solid sense of what other people like, in conjunction with what you like (aka a real style), shopping with others is a good idea.

Nh!

So did you go on that tour by yourself? That is, without the people that came with you to Peru?

i'm traveling with one mate from montana, he went on a different trek though...so yeah, i pretty much went alone, met up with people from all over. (i think this is excellent too...if you're at all semi sociable, it's a great way to get some good conversations/relationships with people you're walking for miles with).

Sounds about right. =)

Anyway - GL to me as I'm going under the knife tomorrow. While it's completely routine, during our meeting the doctor had to tell me all the 'scary' stuff that could happen up to and including death.

I responded "Well - if I die I figure I won't know the difference anyway" to which he replied "Well - there's no proof of that".

I laughed, and told him "I'll take my chances, but try and do your best. GOOD LUCK!!!" and then opted for the cadaver tissue option after he reassured me that the likelihood of a haunted knee was minimal.

Ah okay. For some reason I thought you were traveling with > 2 people.

I really like the idea of traveling alone -- I suspect it would force you to become a lot more social, and also give you some confidence by knowing that you're able to handle yourself in an unfamiliar environment.

I was supposed to go to Germany with my best friend this past fall, but I canceled because he couldn't go at the last minute. I'm still kicking myself for missing out on that opportunity.

Was also supposed to go to Thailand by myself, but ended up taking my entire family on a vacation to Florida instead.

i think a mix is good. one friend is pretty nice imo...not enough people to where you're going to be self secluded within your own group but still enough space to where you can move pretty freely throughout.

where you from chaos?

ah jesus for some reason i thought you were a euro. yeah...traveling alone is cool too, i havent really done a ton of it but meh...if you dont have alot of traveling experience, i would recommend doing it with one or two friends. but yeah...both have their obvious benefits.

Snipe: good luck

Today, long story short, girl that I wanted to stop chasing after me, had lunch with, nothing happened. After class a girl I was hoping to get with came over, we played smash bros and bomberman, I owned.
