Yeah I just make these things up.... it's not what I "think" it's what I read
10-24-2010 , 03:34 AM
that was like a few days into the month, and i assure you it wasn't because i suck at poker
10-24-2010 , 03:37 AM
i never said you suck at poker, on the contrary that's what you implicitly hinted to me in "get coaching"

i just pointed out that I would think that someone who has had a bad month too in runbad or whatever would understand the frustration because not everything is going optimally
10-24-2010 , 03:38 AM
well i apologize for you being paranoid and thinking that i think you suck, it's just that i used to post a lot of whining threads here until i realized that i needed coaching, so i figured i'd save you some time

i also apologize for that not being a proper apology but it is funny to me
10-24-2010 , 03:43 AM
no hard feelings

coaching would be obv good, but to get a good coach that I would respect would be expensive and I've been doing this from 2006 without ever been coached and as I don't really have any big aspirations and am unsure how big part I want poker really to play in my life in future I've just left that possibility be. Fresh ideas would be great for sure.

villain is reggy looking, I have like 100 hands on him, 18/16, 4% 3b, must be moving up/down limits because I don't remember him at all.
basically no reads whatsoever, I'm assumimg standard nitty reg
10-24-2010 , 11:29 AM
his river lead is pretty bad imo and I prob just call, I doubt he calls with worse besides maybe 9Ts which he is not 3betting a lot. And i doubt he bets flop and chks river with AdKx.

mehh it sucks that he bet so small...
10-24-2010 , 11:29 AM
Raising for value sucks, so I'm assuming you want to bluff him off the 8d since he never has the Kd?

I'm curious to know why you aren't betting the turn, I feel like we should be betting small to set up stack sizes on the river.
10-24-2010 , 11:34 AM
I like the turn check considering our range.

why does he never have the Kd? AxKd and KdKx can play this way with a nitty reg nearly 100% of the time

also me bluffing anyone off straight flushes is quite the wishful thought

I think it really sucks to play flop and turn like this with AxKd

Ofcourse he can still have the Kd and lol at trying to bluff him off a straight flush
10-24-2010 , 12:34 PM
Raise/fold ? Also preflop is incredibly bad given his preflop stats.

He'd have to be pretty bad to have the Kd. His river bet sizing is {Ad/8d/some other stupid hands} if he's decent.

I wasn't advocating a bluff raise, although I don't think it's quite as lol as people think if we had more reads about his skill level. I was just trying to find out what you thought your decision was because I think value raising is out of the question.

i think the fact that he donks the river indicates that he's pretty bad imo
10-24-2010 , 01:32 PM
ty for comments, carrot/mdom. i think the turn was a pot/call after thinking about it.

He didn't donk river. He bet flop/cked turn/bet river. That's not what donking means.

If hero had bet turn and he had c/ced turn, this would be a donk bet

The point is that villain has had the initiative the whole hand and I don't think it's weird for him to value bet Ad/8d/Kd
10-24-2010 , 02:37 PM
lol yes you are obv right.. i mixed a few things up..
