All of those QQ seem quite standard. I'd probably just 4-bet in hand 2 if y'all have any history whatsoever; otherwise calling and getting it in on a bunch of flops seems fine too.
03-25-2010 , 07:51 PM
ya the only QQ hand i could find a fold on was #2. i've been doing the back raise thing on a squeeze with QQ recently as well because i usually give back raises 0 credit and always stack off w/AQ+ sometimes lighter. but out of the last 4 times i ran into KK twice, AA once, and lost to AK once as well
03-25-2010 , 07:53 PM
alright thanks for the reality check claunchy. im losing my mind with QQ cause i've lose all those for the month without ever being ahead.

I always get these names mixed up but I am pretty sure this guy is a huge nit so I hate cold-4-betting him. Wouldn't mind flatting or even folding if he is who I think he is. I hate flatting vs. competent ppl because you have what they put you on but vs. huge nits it's ok

HERE on the other hand, when the pot is already big, you make it $72 instead of shoving...his bluffing range is obv gonna be small/non-existant when you bet $72 so just shove, he never 3b/folds like TT or AQ anyway because people are always "I have to call because it looks like I am squeezing" which is kinda lol

I also think shoving looks more like 88 or something when you back-raise than if you 4-bet "normal"

bit of advice: we've all run bad, like really really bad. the sooner you get out of the "omg-i-cant-believe-how-bad-i-run" mentality you'll be surprised how quick you seem start running and playing better. take a few days off, play golf or hang out or go buy something with poker money or whatever you like to do and come back with a positive attitude.

is this just too passive to call down? my only note was that villain had limped MP before, so was likely fishy, but we have no histroy other than that.

note that he cold called 3bets, as opposed to raise/calling.

meh, mebbe min raise river or turn? other than that I think you're ok. I doubt he's lead calling KQ or QQ for a real bet.

If you were shallower it would LDO shove.
03-26-2010 , 03:49 AM
it's fine. he could be bet/folding AQ, QQ, JJ, maybe b/calling AA

you have no reason to assume KQ, KJ could be in his cold calling range and even then he could be folding

also bilbo that hand is strictly math. really easy to calculate implied odds obv, however i'm not going to do it for you

What's so horrendous about this hand?

the turn,

if he was closing the action he could prob talk himself into a call, but being sandwiched in the middle when both their ranges contain aces just makes it a bad spot to be in
