Today I open in a $3/6 game to $18, get one caller, and some ****** in the SB squeezes to $125, and I am like "Oh you have TT or JJ, guess I can just shove QQ" then he tanks all the way down before calling with his TT

Brilliant ****ing thought process ******

I may not be cut out for this game because the mere fact that such stupidity exists in the gene pool just tilts me beyond measure, and that was even before the flop came ten-****ing high

Like they say, a woman becomes a mother when she gets pregnant, whereas a man becomes a father when the child is born. That's pretty much how I feel. I didn't think too much about the whole thing until now, figured it would work out. Around two days after she was born I started to realize that small creature really was my child and now I'm just immensly happy and filled with joy!

Bigger on the turn for sure, almost pot, like what is he folding that he called the flop with?

I'm sorry I don't know if strat is allowed at cheese (wtf?!) thread, but this isn't really worth an own thread.

Is it normal to stack off here at 6max? Villain is 23/18 after around 80 hands and I've 3bet him twice earlier in blind battle already. I haven't really played any 6max in last 4 months so I feel very rusty. :P

I'm guessing that I was a donk and I should be just folding when he makes it 30bb? What about if he makes it 25-26bb, are you then more inclined to shove?

Stacks:
UTG ($149.50)
CO ($101.70)
BTN ($98.50)
SB ($103.40)
Hero ($106.50)

Pre-Flop: ($1.50, 5 players) Hero is BB 10 10
3 folds, SB raises to $4, Hero raises to $12, SB raises to $30, Hero goes all-in $106.50

In that situation I probably wouldn't 3-bet unless I had a read that he will start flatting loosely when he becomes frustrated (some will disagree with this), or I thought he was going to 4-bet wide/bluff. If I did 3-bet it would be to stack off preflop if he 4-bet, otherwise just flat and keep 3-betting speculative hands.

Given no reads, I don't see how betting ~62ish on the turn and shoving the river isn't clearly the best play (maybe even raise the flop to like 36). At that point the pot is too big to put him on something like AJ/QJ (these are the only 2 hands we are worried about) to c/f the river. I could be convinced otherwise with decent reads. I don't know if there's anything that he would call a smaller bet with but fold to a shove... something to think about I guess. I'm not even going to get into your range and balancing when you check this river.

And you miss too much value by donking this flop.

I do like making turn a bit bigger for an easier shove on river. I was thinking 55 but 62 sounds good as well :-D.

This is BVB, I don't see anything wrong with how he played it.

(all of what you said is true I just think as described we can assume he meets all these criteria - that being said there's nothing wrong with flatting either)

I don't know how many of you guys or if any of you guys have heard about St. Baldrick's Foundation. It's a foundation that helps out kids w/ cancer. Well, tomorrow is a big day and all over North America (not sure if this is world wide or not) people like me are volunteering to get our heads shaved and try to help fundraise money for the kids treatment. It's a sign of solidarity for us/them to let them know that they're not alone.

So with that said, I've volunteered to shave my head tomorrow and I'm asking for donations to the cause. My goal is $500, which I'm hoping you guys blow out of the water, but anything is helpful. As a professional poker player, I don't give back much to society, so this really speaks to me and makes me feel a little more a part of society.

So with that said, here is where you can go to donate: My page @ St. Baldrick's. By no means, obviously, does anyone have to give, but if you feel the desire, I'd appreciate it, as would the kids.

Thanks y'all!

One time bump for today. I go to get the ole noggin' shaved @ 330pm MST, but can take donations thru the rest of the calendar year. $210 of my $500 goal in so far!
