I don't "berate" fish.

I DO engage in some banter with the more talkative fish. I will humor him and talk with him, talk trash to him, and sometimes even play back at him a little more than usual because this is what that kind of fish wants... not a boring table full of 12-tabling (and therefore slow to act), silent, folding hudbots.

And I didn't really care that dude left after taking my stack. He was on 2 other tables of mine and is a regular who I know will be back anyways, I know he wasn't hit & running. (In general I don't even mind hit & runs anyway). I felt like saying something sarcastic to him, because I am on a huge downswing (i.e. I suck at poker) and as a human being my emotions sometimes cause me to do things I wouldn't normally do. For the record, it was pretty harmless banter along the lines of "why sit out? it's clear you can't lose under any circumstances, so stick around and take all the money"

I generally dislike chatting at Eurolinx poker tables because the interface is so godawful.

That's alright BP, you see I know that the key to winning at HU is knowing how to value bet thin.

Should I bet playing this any differently? Villain is a 17/14/1.5 nit. I suppose I could just call the turn, but does anyone ever fold trip aces? I'm unknown to him fwiw.

Too bad its the opposite with Nastia. She was so so so hot during olympics, then when you see her IRL it's like WTF? I jerked off to that!??!?

In my mind Olympic womens gymnastics is going 24/7

Was playing $2/4 for the first time last night kinda drunk..I was playing pretty laggy..everyone else seemed pretty tight..no stats on villain- he seemed to be playing a little aggressive but not out of line.. I hadn't tangled with villain yet..is this really bad?

Sorry no HH

I open 66 UTG ($14)..Villain calls in SB

Flop 1043r - Pot $32

I check behind

Turn 2

I bet $20 when checked to again...villain c/r to $63..Hero calls

River Q Pot-$158

Villain bets $120..is this an awful call here

First I think I should have just checked back turn. I was thinking I should protect my hand at the time but I think its ok to control the pot again..I was thinking villain must know I can't have that strong of a hand here so a c/r and river bet can get me off whatever I have..I thought he could be doing this with an Ax type hand that had a gutshot and some overs and I think the only strong made hands he can have here are sets/overpairs. Obviously I think everyone is trying to outplay me the first time I take a shot so I call down. Thoughts on turn and river play and his range?

K I was just checking, of course he has AT and I feel like an ass for paying off a nit

Edit: I suppose if I'm going to raise the turn then I have to be committed to stacking off, so maybe that's not a good raise on the turn then

I was looking at TitoTacos' stats today while playing with him and over like 2k hands he raises c-bets 25% of the time...wtf? How is this possible? Isn't he a good player?

Why is this bad?

I raise a lot of c-bets but am also pretty tight pre-flop; if I just call (don't 3-bet) pre then I have a hand that is going to continue on a ton of flops, and ppl really shouldn't be 3-betting a very loose range....yet they do. Kind of lol, really.
