Seriously, I have, like, no time to watch videos, unless I am on a bus, which, coincidentally, I am for about an hour a day.

WTF @ DRM. Haven't you guys learned from the music industry? Nobody pays $30/month for the priviledge of uploading your vids to Bittorrent sites, either, so I wouldn't worry about that. And I know if I caught wind of someone doing that with a DC video I'd out them on this forum immediately, because, WTF, I WANT you (and DC, CR, whatever) to make a profitable living offering a service that I value.

Don't mean to sound harsh (honestly, I don't), but DRM really tilts me. I want to use stuff that I buy on my terms, and cutting out ipods means basically telling 99.9% of the video-player market "**** you, we don't want your business".

I think both you and CR would make more money if you lose the DRM and support iPods like DC does. I know you'd get my yearly subscription tomorrow. As it is, I'll probably get it someday, but certainly not until I have a lot more time on my hands. I understand the need to protect intellectual property (beleive me, every dollar I have ever earned has been at companies whose ONLY asset is intellectual property), but this kind of DRM just doesn't make business sense. You are basically just picking sides in the Apple vs. Microsoft war to lock in their customers to their players.
I tried to convince Leggo at the start, they wouldn't listen Kept drinking the kool-aid "DRM is win-win for us 100% no risk"

DeucesCracked FTW - Entity's "why no DRM" post there is just awesome.

Just bought another Compaq for my mom as a Christmas gift for like $425 w/ a printer from Staples. Add in a stick or 2 of ram and you can play pokahz all day. Screen is only 15" but whatever..i've 4 tabled and what not on it tiled with stats and its not that big of a problem.

PostgreSQL is a must. Absolute must have. IIRC no next-gen tracker will work without it.

concur, poster asking about .5/1 being a 3bet/4 bet war is probably just running into either:

1) a couple 3bet happy regs
2) a couple players on a sick run of hands

change tables and you'll be fine, theres barely any 3betting and almost no 4betting without KK/AA

in fact against most opponents you can fold your kk to a 4bet unless they already know what/why to 3bet, which is not many people

Lol, I spewed nicely in my short session today. Probably put in about $400 in spots where people just don't fold. At least it's nice to confirm why I usually don't bluff in those spots.

Just played a quick HU session against a FR nit who wouldn't go to showdown without > top pair. It was fantastic since he still raised pretty liberally preflop and cbet a lot, but would just insta shutdown thereafter. So now the only FR hands in my PT Database have me up like 2 BI in 45 hands with a WWSF of like 80.

i 12 table on a 15 inch laptop. tiled ftw.

anyone wanna ship me some monies for a desktop with 30 inch monitor?

i should have that by the summmer. but when you get used to it it's not too hard. i'm young and have gd eyesight etc. 1 misclick per hr i'd guess.

cascading tables is just weird imo.
01-30-2008 , 02:15 AM
1 misclick/hour is a super high rate. and lol@thinking that straining your eyes wont lead to a worsened vision. my contacts are -7 (which is pretty ridiculously bad) and i have to assume at least some of the problem is due to my computer. and btw, no one cascades tables.
