Hand 1 is iffy. I probably would have called just to see what he's minraising you on the turn and betting the river for. The only line he could have would be with a 4, maybe 54s or something, but he could be just overplaying any ace.

Hand 2 I think he has an 8 most of the time, so your river call is fine. You played it fine as well.

I call in hand 1. Lots of busted draws. Hand 2 is good, let him turn a PP/8x into a bluff.
