lol gross id call but folding is def the best play vs this villain dont think he is double floating raising river as a bluff
03-07-2010 , 08:20 PM
It's fine. He's so passive going for 3 streets is far more sensible then hoping he bluffs somewhere. River you can fold against some but its hard to make quads and you don't know if this guy is suddenly going to consider 8x to be the nuts so just call and make a note for now.

lol wtf @ folding river here.

Ok, suppose you are villain in this hand, what is your river raising range? be honest
03-07-2010 , 08:36 PM
Once the third queen comes off Im never folding obv, if he has Qx it doesnt matter.
Im not sure if i bet the turn 100% time, would be interested in what other say, there probably is value in betting the turn vs draws/worse pairs, but then we have tought decision on the river.

are u crazy? hes a huge fish, he thinks any boat is the nuts here.

i think turn is fine for value if u fold to a raise, and river is obv bet/call.

i dont know what a river raising range is
03-07-2010 , 09:30 PM
Well played, imho.

We cannot soulread a quads, obv.

I like to bet turn half pot/fold here as default. Betting bigger accomplishes nothing but losing more when we are behind (I assume you fold to a raise).

River is fine. As far as what villains range for raising river is here, please, see stats, any boat will do, sometimes even air because he thinks he can rep a queen.

definitely bet/folding turn for value
03-07-2010 , 10:35 PM
i am much more likely to shove river than to EVER EVER fold this in my lifeetime
03-07-2010 , 11:51 PM
Seems fine to me. Just bad luck if villian showed up with the quads imo.

As far as the turn play goes, I think betting is fine, and imo preferable with the blue flush draw in fish's range. He may even call with an 8 if he's enough of a drooler. So there is def value in betting the turn. Once the third Q comes on the river I am never folding, ever. In fact I'm near fist-pump getting it in because the fish, depending on his style of fishyness obv, may even view an 8 for QQQ88 as the nuts now. His raise on the river is sort of scary, but fish do weird stuff and we do have the nut fh, so folding is crazy imo.

gg nh ul if he has the Q is all.

Im getting as much money in this pot as I possibly can agains thi guy.

As played, river is a ninja snap-call. He probably thinks 22 is the nuts here.

Sucks he showed you Q3o though.
03-08-2010 , 11:12 AM
Q4o, devo'd!!!
03-08-2010 , 11:19 AM
Sick spot, people saying he's a fish and any boat is the nuts arent right imo. When passive fish get aggro they usually have the nuts or close to it.

Eh but im not sure if i can fold this here. If im playing my A game then might find a fold, passive fish just dont value bet so i doubt we ever get show jacks full or worse here ever

never ever folding. What is villians 3 bet stats? He could have 10 10- KK here.

Exactly you can never fold this river against a fish. He could be value betting so much s**t that he thinks is good.
03-08-2010 , 12:23 PM
call, hes got 99-kk more often than qx
03-08-2010 , 06:07 PM
I def think a Call is the play. I dont think you can put a player on quads and muck. Almost his entire range losses to you so instacall
03-08-2010 , 06:13 PM
Why would you ever fold the river here? This sort of guy is shipping any boat.

+1

any FH is the nuts to him and he can probably even have KK here a small percentage of the time
03-08-2010 , 07:59 PM
if you're folding this river you may as well have folded pre. fish think any boat = nuts. he's raising 99-KK here all day

turn is definitely a bet/fold for value.
