So your willing to play 600nl 3-4 tabling? Also, your going to need 4-6k min for a stop loss. I dont want you to lose 1-2 buyins and leave.

Is it bad to shove AQo in position when you think a guy is playing back at your 3 bets after having 3 betted him successfully a few hands before?

y'all talk a lot of smack at me in the chat, now is your chance to step up. i'm issuing a standing challenge against either of you to play hu up to 6 tables at the highest stakes i can afford. it's not as +EV as just hunting down some fish, but dollars from ****-talking TAGs are twice as sweet.

and if anyone else wants in on some action, all you gotta do is sit at a 6m table with me and then berate me over a standard play that goes way over your head.

As far as being a male nurse goes, who the **** cares. It's a good job, probably not that laborious as working outside, pays well, and has great benefits from working within a health care organization.
04-05-2009 , 03:44 AM
I agree totally. If I wasn't a full time poker player I'd put my masters of healthcare admin to good use. Amazing field.
04-05-2009 , 04:20 AM
go into business and make anywhere from 2x-10x more then a nurse...idk what kinda lifestyle you guys are living but i atleast wanna make 100k workin 40 hours a week...male nurses average 45-65k w/ benefits...not enough...for the time, **** they deal with and have to see.

as far as the headsup matches with pav goes (societymax)...play him if your willing to play two ppl...talentedtom will deff be helpin him out cuz pav sucks by himself...and pav if u try tellin me this isnt true then quit tellin me tom is always sitting next to you and talkin **** on me also when ive never played a hand with him in my life

This.

If you think poker has its ups and downs try working in a fricken hospital. Much respect for all in the medical profession, male nurses included.

Wake, I think just about everyone who works in this field is smart enough to know how much money they could be making pursuing other careers.

Not everyone measures success and happiness based on their salary.

Just sayin'.

God, I cant even imagine working in an office (except for maybe Dundler-Mifflin, that seems like fun) or any other job that requires me to be there for 40+ hours a week, unless I absolutely loved what I was doing. It just seems so miserable. It also seems like the professions that have people that actually enjoy what they do have some of the lowest median incomes (i.e. school teachers).

Ugh, I guess I better learn how to play this stupid card game a little better or find me a sugarmama or else im pretty much fked hahah

making 100k++++ a year working less than 40 hrs doesnt happen.....the self- employed self made millionaires work there asses off to get where they are at.

I could work for myself for what it's worth, but I could not sit in a cubicle and take orders from some douchebag all day long.

My GF is a nurse and her salary started at 60k (canadian though) and goes up and up and away from there. It's self scheduling and she can set off 6 days without taking any vacation. Pretty sweet imo. That being said it depends where you are a nurse. Psych/oncology/ER are all completely different worlds but pay the same (in canada because it's public system).

Plus being a nurse isn't about the money for most people.

Exactly, it all depends on were you want to work in the hospital, and i have many options since i'll be an RN in a year. I go home knowing i made a difference, and true, we have three 12 hour shifts per week, and 4 days off. So doing that and playing poker is awesome for me, plus I also workout daily with my bro and spend a lot of time with my gf. I have it all you can say.

it is true that most nurses are not in it for the money as much as they are for helping people out but i guess i was jus never one of those people since my dad owns a business...

browerkid i think you are semi right to an extent that self made millionaires work there asses off cuz my dad did but as soon as he got established hes lazy as **** now and has a sick life...i think id rather go down that path instead of the busy as hell medical field jobs...jus my opinion tho obv

Yeah but you anyone can work your butt off and start a business and still go busto if you are an idiot.

Once you become a RN you have one of the most stable jobs in the world, and if you are an idiot, you won't become one.

I think you are just trying to say that business has a much higher upside potential in income. I agree but 90% of new businesses fail, bla bla and it's pretty easy to say, "I'm going to own my own business and make tons of money by working my ass off".
