I started playing a bunch of tables a few months ago to see if I could do it... It's not really that hard, but it's boring as hell. It would take me roughly 4-5 hours a day and that is cake when you are on Adderall. My winrate is like 1.4ptBB/100 the last 3 months playing an insane amount of tables. That's my peak, but not only am I not improving as a player, but I'm actually getting worse. I basically stopped 16-24 tabling. I'm sticking with 6-9 and just going from there. When you play that many tables, it's nearly impossible to not be expolited by the regs who aren't playing that many tables.

I'm basically waiting to hear from a pretty sick player if he will take me on and coach me. He won't do it unless I play 6 tables or less. If he doesn't want to coach me, then IDK what I'll be doing next year.

It's not about taking the last seat on the table with 5 other regs!!!!!!

Games are softer on the shortstacker tables because there are always seats open when there isn't a fish on the table. That's because reg will sit with them for obvious reasons.......

When a reg decides to take the last seat at a 50BB table, he is just basically closing another 50BB table off to the fishes and they will end up at a shortstacker table.

It's attitude like yours that makes the 50BB games the way they are.... I'm not calling you out, but think about what you are saying? So you want to spite the other regs by taking the last seat? Nobody is getting up... everyone is trying to earn VPP LOL...... the point is that, why don't you start a table or join a 2 or 3 handed game. Your the best right???? You edge will be bigger.... The only thing you will accomplish by sitting in the last seat is ensuring one less possible fish at our games. I only play 50BB tables and that's why I'm making a big deal out of it.

I usually play 9 tables and out of them, there are probably only 3-4 good games. The rest are all short play with me and other regs. If you want to measure your e-penis then by all means jump on the table when a person starts a table or there is 2 handed game going..... but it's ******ed to ensure that a fish will not be at one of our tables.

Sorry for ranting..... I just noticed this before. I used to take the final seat too just to play, but I coudln't really bitch about shortstackers if I am adding to the problem.

makes 50bb tables the way that they are? i dont understand what this means. im not trying to spite anybody by sitting in the last seat im just sitting on tables until i reach the amount i want to play. i only play at 50bb tables too so i dont have a problem with shortstackers either.
12-18-2009 , 02:51 AM
basically he's saying it's dumb table selection to sit at a table with 5 regs for a couple of reasons

1) you're sitting with 5 other regs!!!!!! your edge probably isn't that big
2) fish don't get on waitlists, fish sit at 2-5 handed tables because they can play immediately
3) if fish don't have any 2-5 handed tables (50bb min) to sit at, they will go sit at 20bb min tables with shortstackers and you will never see the fish's action
12-18-2009 , 02:56 AM
They're probably 2 regs who keep erring each other. While the one guy wants fish to sit, will leave if another reg sits who wants to get volume, the table could break and the one who wanted volume doesn't get it because there's less players at the table or it already broke lol.

The most Ive ever played in a month is 90k hands, but Im going for SNE next year. I play anywhere from 12-18ish tables. I will also be in vegas for a month, as well as going to every LAPC, monte carlo, maybe san remo, and a small chance I go to PCA. GL

I agree with steel, theres little point in joining a 5 handed regfest. Just start new games and we have more seats available for the fish to sit in.

only little point if theres 0 regs there that are exploitable, and its ssnl, so everyone is. if hes hunting a few regs then hell go where they are

We get it, your not afraid to sit in a 50BB table w 5 other regs. The problem is that you are taking the last seat and we aren't keeping the games going for you (you're not a fish). Could you please just start a new 50BB table or join a game that is HU or 3 handed? Love you to pieces buddy, but this is why 50BB games suck so much.
Valid point of course, but I for one don't know all the regs (I'm not Jim14QC btw), since I don't play full time or anything. So if I'm playing a bunch of tables, then how am I supposed to know that I've just joined an all-reg table? It takes a little while for my HEM to tell me, and if I don't have stats on everybody it takes even longer.

When I do see that I'm on an all-reg table, I'd normally want to leave, but if I'm playing like 10 or 12 tables, I tend to not see these things right away, especially if there are players at my table whose names don't ring a bell.

ofc the better regs are +ev in every 1/2 game, but grinding 8ptbb vs a fish >>>> grindind 2,5ptbb vs average regs

Don't forget that the rake is 2ptbbs at ssnl. So you have to have an edge on all the other regs or a big edge on one or two.
12-18-2009 , 12:06 PM
yes, plz dont take up the last seat on a table if its all regs just playing. If im there, ull be losing money to me, but id rather a fish be there. Your just helping the ratholers if u do this.
12-18-2009 , 01:39 PM
I think we should all play with the regulars as much as possible. That way, when there are 0 fish left to play with, you'll have honed your skillz vs the regs already.

Lolol I was about to post this exact thing when you mentioned regs sitting with 5 other regs a little while back. He's like the king of doing it, but I guess it works out since I sit out the next orbit and find a new table.

FTP raising the minimum buy-in. i guess that means PS will have a SS surge. that sucks. i really hate FTP software.

yes, but then theres the whole quantity of fish vs regs....consider how much faster you play 100 hands vs a few regs at the tbale vs a table w/ 1 fish and 5 regs, hrly issue imo
