I usually don't start new tables when I have enough good tables going. What's the point?

I said "a lot of tables" as in too many to start playing heads-up against regs but not enough tables that are all 6-max

Well first of all, I don't need the added stress of playing a reg heads up when I have up to 12 tables going. Even if I perceive to have an edge, these are not the games I want. I am not a heads up player, the only reason I am starting these games, is because waiting lists are too long, and there are not enough games to satisfy demand. If I were not not starting these tables, fish would just be going to wherever the open seats are, which are the 20BB tables.

Some people say why not just play for a while, then the fish will join. I somewhat disagree with that as well, as when I am sitting alone, fish join anyway; I have not seen any conclusive evidence that fish join at any higher rate when 2 people are already playing.

I just think the thing that most people here don't understand, is that fish NEVER join waitlists. When us regs join a waitlist as the 5th person for a table with 1 fish, by the time you get to the table, there will still be only maximum 1 fish (but more likely, the seat you get will be the fish that leaves, or one of the regs' seats who leaves after the fish leaves). However when you open tables, the results are a lot nicer. Can often get multiple fish on table with a fair regularity. I don't even mind sharing this, as if we get more 100BB tables started, we will be poaching fish from the 20BB tables, while making games better for ourselves, with greater quantity for table selection.

Fair enough. Good post and I agree with most of it.

However, it's not true that fish join similarly when 2 ppl are playing and when 1 of the players is sitting out. I've seen a bunch of times that fish joins a table and see 1 of 2 regs sitting out and they leave. Then I search for that fish and find him at 20BB table. That's why I didn't like seeing regs sitting out on empty tables instead of starting the action. Of course even that is better than not starting tables.

email them every time it happens. then email again after they give you the first reply saying there is nothing wrong with their servers

Partypoker always has this problem.Was gonna start playing there again but no.Wont even open lobby it reminded why i stopped playing there in the first place.
