Have any US players withdrawn from Cake using checks recently? With this recent Epass debacle, I need to get a reliable way of withdrawing asap. I have not tried using checks, but I remember reading some ingame chat of people saying it takes over a month to get a check from Cake. Is this true? Any experiences? All responses are greatly appreciated.

Hi! Any Cake 0.10/0.20 or .25/.50 regulars here? Just beginning to move up to 50NL this week slowly adding/playing tables.

it's not illegal

it's not unethical

It's legal, but kinda gay after a while. I have no problem initially sitting on a good regs left intentially to take advantage of position, but to constantly hop around on every table with that reg is a bit much imo. I will most definetaly shift seats to sit to the left of a drooler, but that's a different thing.

I don't see the difference between jumping seats on a fish or jumping seats on a reg.

If I was a reg, I would be more pissed that somebody moved seats on the fish than moving seats on me.

I do both, however, so I don't see the big deal.

On a site as small as AP/UB/Cake, there aren't always a ton of tables to choose from @ MSNL+. If I can improve my EV by switching seats, by god I'm going to do it.

I'm glad that you sir, have issued your edit on the ethicacies of poker. Unfortunately, I'm going to go with what is generally accepted by the poker community. I don't really see any other reasonable measure of what is acceptable or not.

I always jump seats to find the lucky one. Pretty std practice if you ask me.

Hint - Seat 4 = BINGO! Working like a charm lately
04-12-2008 , 07:23 PM
As a matter of interest, whats the biggest pot people have seen on AP in terms of BB's? I've seen 600bb pots on normal sites, so i figure there might be something ridiculous with the deep games.
04-12-2008 , 09:24 PM
I really dont understand the regs at AP.

Often times Ill sit at a table full of whales (200+ bb's deep running 60/20+) and the game will be dying off, 3 or 4 players maybe. Meanwhile there are like 5 or 10 other full games going with 4 or 5 reg TAGs at each table.

re: pot sizes,

5 or 600 bb pots are probably as rare as at any other site, but 400bb pots are way way more common.

$1800 at 50/1 was the largest ive won. It was in 2005. 2/4 I won a $3200 think it was late 2005.

.50/1 was 3 way me with ajcc flop kc10c7x. All 3 stacks were 550 to 700. bet huge raise call call. Turn q bet shove call call river club.

obviously hes on an ace big kicker. From previously play with the villian, he 100% calls the river with those. So the only combination I have to worry about is a9. utg raises button calls. half pot float flop. hit my gin on turn and he checks, I pot he just calls. river 9 he checks again shove. hes calling any of his big kickers which i get value from, or exactly a9.

Look the play was on the river. You want to call my preflop play terrible fine, but then please state "hey your preflop was terrible, not the entire hand".

To me, the play on the river was the most important part of the hand, and i am completely fine with it against his range. Oh by the way heres another idiotic line i take, but no one stacks off with top pair. (extremely out of the ordinary line I take here from preflop to flop to shove turn, but it had to do with a previous couple hands I played before and this guy saw it)
