I did this a while ago in this thread but completely forgot about it. I was supposed to format it for an email for the regs to send to cake but forgot...whoops. here is the list of complaints again, updated slightly. make some comments and I promise I'll actually format it this time. I'll be xposting this onto another forum. Although I'm sure they're working on stuff, hopefully we can get the ball rolling in the right direction(s).
1) Time bank for cash games. It's pretty amazing that there still isn't one. Sometimes you have a tough decision to make or suddenly get a rush of hands on multiple tables and just need a few more seconds to act. I understand that Cake doesn't want to slow the games down, but it wouldn't have to be a very long time bank. Maybe 15-30 seconds that would refresh for every 30 mins at the table or something. Also, maybe make it so you have to physically click to activate the time bank so it doesn't get used while I'm sprinting downstairs to the bathroom.
2) Rebuy/stack topoff feature being buggy/dumb. Sometimes it freezes. Sometimes you tell it to reload, it appears as if the request has gone through, yet your stack just isn't reloaded the next hand (and is unable to be reloaded at all). If you try and top off but happen to win a pot, your top off doesn't go through since the exact amount that you requested a topoff for is more than the maximum buy in. The annoying tourney popup window happens to be right over the reload section, and sometimes freezes there to boot. Please fix these issues, perhaps by adding an auto-top off feature. Also, and this may be me being greedy rather than a legit problem, but maybe have the "default" buyin set for a full stack to encourage the fish to buy in full. Nothing tilts me more than looking at the stats of a great-looking game (44% flop & 1/2 buyin avg pot) and seeing that 3/5 players are shorties.
3) Note taking. You try and take a note on a player and when you get to the end of the line, it sometimes just starts going nuts, placing the cursor at the beginning of the line or wherever Cake feels like putting it. I'm busy enough with all the multitasking, should I really need to hire an editor to make sure my notes are somewhat coherent?
4) Randomly timing out/slowly functioning software. Normally the software runs fairly smoothly, but there just seem to be random hiccups where Cake decides it doesn't like me and times me out at all my tables, screwing up blind-posting and more importantly causing me to fold hands I'm in the middle of.
5) The hand histories while playing. When I want to show someone a hand during play, the best option is to use the create webpage feature. When you click on that option it opens up a new window to that hand, but the page it opens is in internet explorer. My default browser is firefox & when the new window opens up, internet explorer takes forever to load and temporarily makes my computer run extremely slowly, which sometimes causes me to time out while I'm in hands. Plus IE is pretty much laden with bugs, exploits, and viruses, and I avoid using it whenever possible.
6) The lobby lagging. I understand that it might not be practical or feasible to have the stats of the games being updated every second, but it seems like sometimes the lobby is just lying to you about the stats on a particular table. The lobby says the game is 35% flop & 1/3 stack size avg pot, then you open up the table and it's 5 regs passing the blinds around with 10% flop & $1 avg pot. Obv the game dynamics can change very quickly and suddenly, but not THAT quickly.
