Bwin.party has been forced to show its hand, after speculation about a bid for the online poker operator forced a regulatory announcement.

The FT's Alphaville has reported it believes one of the bidders is Toronto-listed Amaya Gaming Group at a mooted price of 145p per share.

yeah it's got pretty ugly then, always with degenerate gamblers though they are capable of lying about that kind of thing, but all the same made me feel super uncomfortable.

I should probably write here about this problem I had with PokerStars when I was making my last withdraw

Everyone knows that stars added a new currency fees (site charge a 2.5% fee for financial transactions made by its customers involving currencies unsupported by its client) ... so as I am from Europe and my skrill is in Euros since I started using it (all transfers and all withdrawals from various sites always got in euro currency to my skrill account) I decided (before withdraw) to change my PokerStars account into euro default and to convert money from USD to Euro before my withdraw. After few hours I got my withdraw email from stars saying that my cashout was successful but it showed that I got it in USD obv they took a fee for conversion from Euros into USD (and money got in euros to my skrill acount but less then my original withdraw amount)- hope everyone can follow as english is not my native language

I emailed them asking why did they done conversion and how my money got to my skrill in euros anyway ... and they email me back with this:

Quote:
Thank you for inquiring about Skrill cashouts and our conversion rates.

Unfortunately, the euro currency for Skrill is not available in your country. (WTF !?!) Therefore, even if you withdraw your funds from your euro balance, the funds will always be converted to US dollars when they are sent for processing. We advise you to please try and obtain a Skrill account in USD in order to avoid conversion fees or losing any money due to conversion rates.

Regarding our conversion rates, please note that PokerStars frequently reviews its policies across all areas of the business including our deposit and cash out facilities. We, like any business, are subject to foreign exchange charges and do our best to reduce this cost to the bare minimum. We listen to customer feedback and closely monitor those rates and associated costs. Foreign exchange charges are not new to our online business.

In the last few years we have monitored foreign exchange closely and applied a small margin where and only when deemed necessary on a variety of currencies. We are confident that the foreign exchange rate plus margin applied to your selected currency is very competitive, if not better than that offered by most banks, card issuers and other payment providers.

Please note that as per our ‘Real Money Transaction Processing and Currency Conversion terms and conditions’, for deposits and cashouts in most currencies, PokerStars will add a special margin to the mid-market exchange rate provided by XE (Source XE).

For more information please visit this link:

http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/real...xchange-terms/

If there is anything we can help you with, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Anyway... it's good that they explained it to me and I wanted some of you guys to be aware of this when you are making a cashout as you might get ****ed with your skrill acount or pokerstars

idk if something went wrong in their system during this process or what...

How can euro currency not be available for your country when you live in europe?

I would be angry and not willing to settle for this robbery if I was in your situation and did all the right things like you did.

Country currency and usd. If he lives in eu country which does not have euro (and alot dont have) its problem.

I have same prob living in thailand and had to open neteller usd account...
