I think Clown was suggesting you re read your own post i.e. Poker's causing you far too much stress, take a break.

My simple advice that always helps me

Take a few days off and watch some good training videos, such as the coaching Kristy series on DC as well as your favourite comedy show/movie to help your mood

Come back for the weekend when games are soft and just 4 table the level below what you are playing now, keeping sessions around 90mins

Fairly obvious but I doubt many people actually do it.

Good luck man, once you get your confidence back you'll crush

so i havnt really given back to the ftp rega thread in awhile. here's the real secret. I've never been on a downswing more than 20bis. sure I might have ran good for a long period of time, but I was also playing 60-120k hands a month. the real trick to getting out of a downswing is table select super well. bigger edge =lower variance. I wasn't "scared" to play other regs, in fact, I'm sure Alot of people here know I'm competent. i was also slightly looser than the standard reg, so what helped me when I ran bad was to tighten up, especially when I'm down 5-10bis on the session while playing in good games. in ssnl, very few regs can adjust that quickly. If you're a nit to begin with, this may my not be as effective.

fastest way out of a downswing besides running hot is having a bigger edge and playing more. don't take a break imo, online poker won't be as good as it was yesterday. play as much as you can today, the best you can, and in the best games possible.

I won't be playing poker for he next few weeks, I failed miserable to get online but I should be up an running on stars in April/also playing in Macau. I'm going to dedicate time into giving feedback to ssnl, so I look forward to reafing HH's

thinly veiled brag imo sick life

but thanks for the words of encouragement and advice, I really do appreciate them. I mean i've done this for a really long time now, but have never actually felt like quitting 100% is the best option. I'm pursuing other things in my life (ie finishing up school), but i've not felt pinched for money for about 3 years now. This is an entirely new feeling that I think I'm having trouble adjusting to.

Best piece of advice you ever gave me was to give HU a shot. What could possibly be a better form of table selection? Not to mention edges against players are amplified HU.

Not to mention it improves your 6max game soooo much. I can't believe how poorly people play OOP and in 3b pots and how scared they are to do it!

yes I do remember that. as soon as I tried heads up, my bankroll grew and started playing much better poker. it's hard to have hands, so you value bet better, bluff catch better, bluff more effectively. + the biggest Donks I've ever played were HU matches. also my biggest winning days are from HU. 6max doesn't seem exciting anymore

shipityo,

What you are going through sounds like my last 1.5 years of poker as a living...I have a ****ty paying real job now. Have had it for a year. I don't miss online poker at all. I play live a few times a month. I like life a lot better now.

Playing through downswings or break even stretches when you NEED the money if very tough and your mind simply does not work right. I still have not recovered, and feel anxiety when I think about playing online.

I guess this isn't really helpful other than to let you know you're not alone.

So tomorrow it's Reverze 2012, but a friend has a wedding party and can't go so I'm selling a ticket. Put it online for like 20 euro extra and a girl calls me and sounds like the typical girls you meet at this party. Dumb sexy, blond and dtf. So she agrees to the 70 euro, but doesn't trust the internet, because she doesn't know if an email arrives when she sends it. So she comes to my city to pick it up (f bringin it). Now I'm texting with her and she might not be able to come, because her friend can't go so told her that I can pick her up and she thinks that's awesome.

She'll add me on facebook later on so what's my line?

- hot: pick her up and try to have sex?
- not: just sell it to someone else and aboard mission?
03-16-2012 , 04:48 AM
abort mission not even an option imo.

obvious I need pictures first to pursue further actions. She just texted me again that she's done with her class hahah. I'm scared she's only 18 or something.

//edit: so she's 17 studying make-up or something and almost 18 lol. JAILBAITTTT

what's legal age in Belgium?
03-16-2012 , 06:13 AM
16 I think. Doesn't really matter as long as she wants to. My mate that joins is 22 so she's eager to meet him and I like to hook a brother up. She comes later today to meet us haha.

Also my lil sis is 19 so I won't do anything younger.
