Should I save my FTP points for Jan 1st, or ship the macbook?

So I play in this series of 9 local tournaments (once a month at a guys house), where half your buy in goes to that tournament pool the other half goes into another pool where the top qualifiers of the 9 tournies play for $30kish of WSOP seats (5-6 seats). The players are so bad the last tourny I played some guy had a M of about 6 and limp folded AK (he showed.)


Anyway there were about 60 entrants this month and 20 of us got a lost longer pool going $40 a peice. So there's about 15 left in the tourny and 4 left in the last longer (me, guy to my direct left and two to my direct right). They talk about chopping the other 3 agree and I size up the stacks and count out I have about 45k and they have about 15k a peice. I tell them I would only do it if I take $400 and they chop the rest, the two to my right polietely disagree. The guy to my left throws a hissy fit, "Aww come on man why you got to be like that, etc etc." So the two guys to my right get knocked out and we're down to the final table and there's a 10 min break (at this point I'm like 10 beers deep and been texting on my phone non stop so haven't been paying close attention).

The guy to my left comes up to me at break and says, "You wanna chop?" I ask him how much he has he says "25k" (I had about 50k). Than I say I'll do $540-$260 and he accepts. Than when we sit at the final table I realize he only had about 4-5K left and I start saying stuff to him, "seriously, you're going to pull a little B**** move like that, etc."

I'm basically curious am I to blame for not paying attention, or do I have a right to be upset? I'm already hoping I have some sort of chance to slowroll him at some point.

He gave you misinformation, I would dispute it, no doubt about it. Just because someone cheats and you get taken, doesn't mean you can't have recourse.

This was the 1st tourny of the new season, so technically $0 since I profitted $800 from the first tourny. I'm def gonna keep playing there the field is just so soft. Plus Tara Rice plays , just checking to see if I was out of line.

out of line for thinking that the guy is an ass? unless you omitted something else from the story you have the right to be mad. sounds like the value of this is too good to pass up and you don't want to risk making it a big deal/making it known to others what he did.

in any case, if you didn't bring it up on the spot, its too late now. personally i wouldn't slow roll either. since you turned a blind eye to it - id just let it go and rape them at the tables. karma can be a b1tch.

eh, you were cheated out of what, $100-$200? it probably isn't worth making a big deal of, especially since it's so soft. obv never trust the guy again though. live and learn.

I dont know how many times ive removed myself from a waiting list by accident.

I find the new waiting list the nuts.

I do a filter search on my FR or whatever, then join individual waiting lists on the PL tables. Tables just pop up and buy-in. Don't really have to do much work.

How I always do it is I'll wait list a bunch of tables. 10 minutes will pass and Ill go check the lobby again then ill be like, sick table, snap hit the wait list button without realizing its the remove me from waitlist button.

yeah tables should be highlighted when you are wait listed like when you are sitting, I think FTPDoug might have mentioned it as coming ??
