but the coin example, yeah dont play = no variance. that game is zero sum.
Ev calcs should already account for fold equity and such. In theory yes, you could avoid ev neutral situations involving tons of bbs, but thing is you never really know what the ev is when you factor metagame etc. All in all for variance reduction it's just best to push all your edges imo, even the smallest, because swings get higher as winrates approach zero.

If yamchae can read a hand then I think you have to call the river. Your basically announcing you have a weak made hand once you check that turn.

I can't really decide. Leading is probably correct, not really in love with your bet sizing. I'm not sure if he's going to double float you or if he'd just raise flop/jam turn with one of the few draws available, though for weaker draws I can see him just calling because you're not the type to 3barrel a lot with air iirc. He's also probably going to value bet every king on the river which are the hands that you'd get value from. Since he has some air in his range that will bluff and you he value bets about as much as he calls (there's a chance that he checks behind with KT or something idk), then I think your line is fine.

Not instajamming river is good as that would look like you were planning it (which you're not going to do with air very often since most his bet sizing would be bigger), you'd need to wait some amount of time like you're reading weakness and maybe he levels himself into a hero call.

Hey ,

I need to practice for a 4 tabling HU match I have coming up and since I don't play HU very often and never 4 tabling was wondering if any of you guys wanted o play me for an hour or so now?

.50/1 or preferably 1/2

Thanks

I think IMRAZIN is the toughest to play against at 1/2. I've played 2-4 and 3-6 with him too so he moved down just like I did. lolcheckraise is pretty solid tag, doesn't go out of line at all but he doesn't bring you in hard spots. goesting is a lag who runs pretty great but doesn't spew that much postflop.
11-20-2009 , 12:13 PM
Goesting is def v bad. IMRAZIN is tougher oop than probably any other reg, and is also tough ip if you call bluffing too much tough.

I think in HSNL or MSNL thread somebody said that it is like an old school video game. Isil has beaten all the end level bosses and Ivey is the final boss to beat the game/

I like the river c/r vs him, but would be a bit more on the turn as a standard.
11-20-2009 , 02:06 PM
I have As7h on the BTN.

I'm 250bb deep with a 34/22, 28% %aggro.

I raise on the BTN and he calls in the small blind.

7s 5s 7c is the flop. I bet 10 in 13; he calls.

4d turn, I bet 24.5 in 32 or so, he calls.

River is 3s with a pot of ~80... would you say a bet is too thin? I dont think this guy is able to bluff raise me. That deep, I think his 2 overs+fds are still in there (but who cares, he wont call), 88-TT is in there too and his 7x hands...

Are there enough 7x hands to make this a bet against that kind of player?
11-20-2009 , 02:27 PM
Is this too thin vs a not so great palyer?
