Poker is so sick that you can be down a few BI for almost your entire session (for around 4 hours) with nothing happening, then BOOM, within a few seconds of each other you pick up 2 hands that put you in the green.... bout ****ing time.

Full Tilt Poker $1/$2 No Limit Hold'em - 5 players
2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked

Mozambee (UTG): $219.00
Paralysis 13 (CO): $413.40
hasuling (BTN): $815.90
Hero (SB): $233.75
Shrugs (BB): $481.70

Pre Flop: Hero is SB with J K
3 folds, Hero raises to $6, Shrugs raises to $18, Hero calls $12

Flop: ($36.00) T A 4 (2 players)
Hero checks, Shrugs bets $22, Hero raises to $66, Shrugs folds

I think the best part was when he berated me for calling w/ a weak ace and typed how this always happens when he has KK

did he learn to play 22/7 from 2+2??

Clutch, tx 4 reminfing me about HU CASH. I won 12BI on Sunday, got excited, remembering old days and forgot how swingy that [censored] is and lost 12BI back on Monday. What is more funny is that the same fish I took 7 BI off of him, next day he caught miracle 4 ott to his pp 44 and ran away. [censored] HU!

Dear Shrugs,

Please some out from behind the bushes, create an account, and make a post to say hi!

We need to discuss sick limp re-raising ranges with you, and ideas on better ways to berate the fish.

Yours Truly,

VanSpecial.

Don't be a douche outing people who apparently don't want their screen names known.

obv you're not going to see this without some hefty prop, you do understand that profitable != optimal?

I'm not asking someone to try and do it. You claim that someone has already done it on the forum; I'd like to see their stats/winrate if you can remember seeing a screenshot.

If Buff Disciple didn't want to be outed as [screen name removed], he should have thought of that before posting the hand and outing himself.

If you didn't want a small little vacation from 2+2 you should have considered following the rules.

It's one thing to out himself to you because you remember the hand. It's an entirely different thing for you to post his screen name that he hid in the HH so that everyone knows who he is.

clutch, the guy i mentioned is samoleus who was one of the biggest winners in the old 2KNL game on party and played some kind of crazy lag style. i actually did a quick search on my old db for mined hands from that game and just came up with 1,033 hands (lol sample size) from samo - sn at the time beeandtheboo - where he was playing 44/28.

admittedly this guy had a penchant for overstatement when it came to his own poker success, but numerous respected posters attested to the fact he was a massive winner in the game.

another interesting one is a highly respected (old timer) ssnl poster by the name of fimbulwinter. this is one of his classic threads: http://archives1.twoplustwo.com/show...5&o=14&fpart=1

again this is a meaningless sample size, but to get to the overall point i've been trying to make; a blanket statement that "40/25 or 40/18 is not profitable" is just flat wrong. it CAN be profitable in the right hands. it is not optimal for 99.99% of players and possibly not even profitable for most but it is not inherently unprofitable (or profitable).

if you really believe that playing 40%+ vpip, or having a certain wide gap in vpip and pfr is inherently unprofitable then you don't fully understand the importance of postflop play.
