Poker Tracker seems to be randomly missing some of my hands. Is this a common problem? Any way to fix it?

Where is Notes file in FT folder? How do you guys make mackup?

And for those who still have lags at FT:
go to task manager and set up priority to FT client higher, for PT and other - lower.
02-23-2008 , 08:36 AM
I'm pretty sure the notes file is username.dat (insert your username).

Task Manager > Priority doesn't work with FTP's servers.

Full Tilt Poker $1/$2 Pot Limit Hold'em - 5 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

Hero (CO): $215.05
Batman Wins (BTN): $115.00
BamYeah (SB): $257.60
Awful Fish (BB): $294.90
bigslickaha (UTG): $200.90

Pre Flop: Hero is CO with 2 J
bigslickaha raises to $4, 1 fold, Batman Wins calls $4, BamYeah calls $3, Awful Fish calls $2

Flop: ($16.00) J Q 8 (4 players)
BamYeah checks, Awful Fish bets $12, bigslickaha calls $12, Batman Wins folds, BamYeah calls $12

Turn: ($52.00) 5 (3 players)
BamYeah checks, Awful Fish bets $30, bigslickaha calls $30, BamYeah calls $30

River: ($142.00) 6 (3 players)
BamYeah checks, Awful Fish checks, bigslickaha checks

Final Pot: $142.00
BamYeah mucks Tc Qs
Awful Fish shows 9h Th (a flush, Ten high)
bigslickaha mucks Ts Kd
Awful Fish wins $139.00
(Rake: $3.00)

Nice river check. IIRC bigslickaha is a passive fish and he never bluffs here.

bigslickah is a habitual river bluffer, and its really unlikely anyone else is calling another barrel any ways. The other one kind of a bad spot, but dont think its too bad to felt there at all, since fish over-value full houses often

Has anyone else's PAHUD been abnormally slow to load lately? I used to open a table and it's pop up really quickly, but lately it's taken a few orbits. Any database I need to compress or something? Or just get a new HUD? There seem to be some nice ones in software.
02-23-2008 , 10:26 PM
after it finally popped up I saw I had samples of 56k, 46k, and 28k on three of the players at that table. Surely that's caused the holdup then? Any way to fix it?
02-23-2008 , 10:46 PM
You could set PAHUD to only use the last x number of hands.
02-23-2008 , 10:46 PM
you can filter to display only the last x number of hands somewhere in the options.

Anyone like to play heads up im on a tear tonight. im up like $200 in $20 heads up look me up this name you see here

Okay, I need help. I'm currently on a 24 buyin downswing. I've had some real spewy sessions of megatilt and apart from that I've generally not been playing great. I have been table selecting more carefully than in the past, though, and don't really get why I'm losing so consistantly. It feels like I can't get paid with my good hands, my bluffs get called down, I second barrell into monsters and check behind when they've got bottom pair, If I 3-bet aces it gets taken down preflop but if I 3-bet 89s I get resistance. Basically it feels like people can see my cards and I'm stabbing in the dark.

Now, I've had big downswings in the past, but I've never felt uncomfortable at 200nl as a result. When I've had big downswings before I could identify pretty easily the problem, usually playing when I shouldn't (while high/tired/hungover/drunk) and also obv just running bad (in the all-in luck sense). At the moment I feel like I'm just getting crushed by everyone.

So any views on how much I suck? I know I spew real bad from time to time, and like I say I've had a few real tilty sessions in this downswing, so I don't need to see HH of me throwing away money, but if anyone has any ideas where I might have leaks I'm not aware of or adjustments I might consider making to turn this around, please let me know.

Oh, I'm PropositionMike.

^All I know is a lot of times frustration leads to tilt which causes spew, true story.

Granted I only moved up but today I hit an 8 BI swing, and that's moving from micro to small stakes only this month... I was just about ready to drop down back to NL50 but I KNEW I could beat this game, I just had to start making smarter decisions.

Took a short break, and sat down determined to win back my money. Low and behold, here I am and I made all 8BI's back and I'm feeling very good right now even though I'm break even over 30k hands, I've found you can't get impatient and if you believe you can beat the limit you're playing at, then go for it.

Also music has also helped me from tilting during losing/boring sessions.

Mike,

Sorry to hear you've had such a bad run lately. In all honesty, I think very highly of your game, and generally try to avoid sitting at the same table as you, so I can't comment too much on any recent play. Seems as though I should've been sitting with you though lately given your struggles. As far as the tilt control goes, one thing that helps me is to just instantly shutdown the computer after a few bad beats. I know it sounds kind of weird, but just holding the power button until the machine shuts off, then getting up and walking around for a while makes it so you have to wait for a while before playing any more. Just a trick that has helped me, and I know that I have been prone to some massive tilt in my life.

Also, on a separate note. Anyone have any info on kieffammax? I would describe him as a semi-regular that I dont see too often, but he gives me trouble whenever I see him, despite the fact that it seems like has some holes. He doesn't top off his stack, which makes me not think much of someone when I notice that, but I have struggled against him. I have him as 18/12 over about 1k hands. Any thoughts?

Also, any thoughts on me in general? My sn is aceskay obv.

^Also I believe being in the proper mindset to play is very, very important
02-24-2008 , 01:33 AM
i can almost guarantee its some form of subtle tilt aswell as the times u go on mega tilt that is making ur downswing much worse than it should be. I used to have this problem for a giatn amount of time and finally fixed it this year and my game/winrates are dramatically improved. I used to have 20+ bi downswing a ton which is credited soley to tilt, 10 is pretty standard 20 is almost always not.

Mike,

try Tommy Angelo's book and also The Poker Mindset. maybe take a short 1-2day break.

Mike - 10k hands at 50nl will likely do wonders for your confidence.
