Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has J A

fold, Hero raises to 3 BB, CO calls 3 BB, fold, fold, fold

Flop: (7.5 BB, 2 players) 6 K Q
Hero bets 5 BB, CO calls 5 BB

Turn: (17.5 BB, 2 players) T
Hero bets 13 BB, CO calls 13 BB

River: (43.5 BB, 2 players) 2
Hero checks, CO bets 65.5 BB, Hero ???

This villain is a good player, W$WSF 49 WTSD 31 W$SD 70 2k hands.

I have the hardest time bet/folding which is like a leak of mine so I decided to go for check/call or check/fold but he seems to know me very well so he over bets the pot on river.

My thought process here is that my hand is no longer good.

What do you think?

That's why I like the bet/fold option better.

no

So your plan is to only call with a flush here? Are you ever checking a flush on the river?
10-31-2013 , 04:49 AM
you lose to like 4 combos on the river... very easy bet
10-31-2013 , 04:57 AM
May be no one gets it...

I was talking about the player and that someone who is good at poker who wins like 85% of pots over 100BB.

Never mind.....

So what? He's good, he knows that you're capped when you check there - I'm pretty sure his range also contains bluffs. And it has already been stated that there are only ~4 combos that have us beat so you only need him to bluff w very few hands.

I dislike my line here. I went 65% pot on flop and then went 80% on turn now that is a tell against the regs that I play against because I basically never take that line. Over bet once in a while? Sure. But not that.

So, I kind of deserved to get bombed on river. In fact, I think that's the major reason why he did it because I gave away ****.

I was upset because the reason why I went for check/call is because I am terrible at bet/folding but if that's the case then I should be able to check/fold with a read. And I had the read here to fold but I still ended up calling.......
