I hesitated a bit and it looks kinda close to me as vilain is not gonna call super wide and we don't beat that many aces also, he can still check better hands both by being a bit scared with like AK or A2, so is it actually a check back here or just bet ? if bet what size and plan against shove if we dont shove ?

I'd 3-bet pre as well. Inviting a 4-way pot by calling here in bad relative position seems like a bad idea.
