vill is 63/41/2 after 70 hands, like 30 hands earlier he c/c close to potbets on flop en turn with AJ on KT77 (i raised in btn he was bb)
he has 500$ i cover
i have AK
utg bad shorty minraises, he calls in the CO, i make it 40$ in the BB, he calls ... his range is HUGE here ... i wouldn't be suprised to see him callw ith something like Q4s here
flop (pot 90$) is 755r
since is calling range is so huge i decide to go ahead and bet, partly because his range is so huge and he misses this flop a lot too and i don't want to give 6outers a freebie, partly because he sometimes calls with worse (A high, K high, gutshots, ...)
he calls
turn (pot is 230$) is Q, flushdraw now
he is still not folding a pair when i bet so i decide to check, he checks behind
river (still 230$) is an A
i'm pretty sure i have the best hand now, and there is lots of value ... i'm pretty sure he likes his hand when he has 8+ and he might call any pair
so it seems like a pretty standard bet right? well, i guess so, but for some reason during the hand i felt that he would bet a lot when i check to him and that he would call my shove v v v light, so i decided to check
villain bets 132$, i shove (263$ lire for him to call)
thoughts?

seems fine as long as he can call with worse. Against this kind of player I can def see him turning a weak made hand into a bluff when you check after the A hits. Betting would be fine also but this is ok.
Just make sure that he's going to have a worse hand that he'll call you with often enough for this to be better than c/c
