NL200 QQ overpair fold NL200 QQ overpair fold

Villain is 24/5/1.7.

My thinking on the unusually small flop bet is that it lets me rep a missed AK and induces calls and raises more effectively from hands I am ahead of.

Then I actually get what I'm ostensibly looking for by getting raised on the flop, but now I'm second guessing myself.

Given his low pfr and low AF, I started to convince myself that this is almost always AA/KK/set. I called flop raise to re-evaluate turn to see if his turn action was consistent with that. And it was. So I think this is a fold. My instinct tells me this isn't JJ/air often enough on the turn to make it a call.

I guess I created this situation for myself by not betting more on flop. I guess the best line is bet close to pot on the flop and fold (?) to a shove v. this opponent.

Thoughts?

First off, he isnt aggro so I wouldnt be trying to induce a bluff raise from him. Then, if I was convinced he could bluff raise me because of my small bet, Im going to be following through with the hand. As played, I am definitely calling that turn bet.

Lol, bet more on flop (unless you were trying to induce a raise). As played, snapcall that turn bet and be happy.

Yeah, I would like a bigger bet on the flop. As played I think call/folding are 50/50 here.

Also, with whiffed AK, I would also bet closer to pot if I cbet and I would balance it w/ occasionally check/folding. Bigger bets fold out weak pp's (22 sometimes up to 99 let's say) and doesn't give him odds to set mine against your AA/KK hands.

well i'd bet $35 on the flop etc

and i dont understand c/f the turn .. since he's hardly ever raising, once he raises the flop i think it would be safe to assume he plans on getting his 3/4 pot-sized stack in as soon as he can

regardless, i call
