I would bet the flop. Aside from that I think he realized that his ace/QQ whatever is good on the river. Even though you´ve shown a lot of weakness, this is not a board that villains will bluff at/value bet thin on.

but which better hands (he calls the 3bet with ) would fold?
and which worse hands calls on flop? any pocketpair ?

That´s not what it´s about imo. You´re happy to end the hand now and fold out AK/AQ. Lower pps probably don´t peel this board. The problem with checkcalling is that you will have no idea where you are on further streets. If you bet the flop and get called, you can pretty much shut down and either hope for a showdown or ditch your hand against action on later streets.

Looks good. Probably bet the flop unless he is good enough to have a wide bluff-raising range here but this not terrible.

River is a very easy fold, if he didn't have the A and wanted to bluff he would have bet the turn.
