NL200 B&M local casino NL200 B&M local casino

At a local casino, and after a phone call, Hero's got his chips racked ready to party scoring 2.5 BI for the day.
He's UTG with with 67 and thinks "Ah what the hell, last hand" and calls $2.

UTG+1 calls
MP+1 Calls
MP+3 Raise to $5
CO Calls
Bu Calls
both blinds call, I call, MP+1 calls
(really should check out some live poker in canada, so juicy)

Pot = $40
FLOP
579

Hero bets $20
Everyone folds to SB (villian) who Calls $20.
SB is known to me as a loose but solid player, can be very trappy, doesn't try to put money in the pot when behind, yet still likes to make moves.
He has approx. $280 behind after this bet

Pot = $80
TURN
5
Villian donk bets $30
Hero thinks, Calls $30

RIVER
Pot = $140
4
Villian bets $30
Hero ????

We made our flush but I really do not know where I stand. I higher flush to me seems very unlikely, There is no reason for him to donk bet unless it was a blocking bet. Full House also seems unlikely, I dont see him smooth calling 75, 95, 99, 77, or 55 OOP then donk betting the turn, but he is very trappy and still capable of making plays like this. he might do the same with 86, a made straight, but the whole line of play confuses me.

What would you do on the turn and river? Do we raise for value on the river or call and hope we have the best?

Both his turn and river bets looks like blocking bets. I'd probably raise the turn with the plan to shove basically every river.

On the river, I'd raise like 60-75ish. He's never shoving worse or bluff shoving, so it's and easy raise/fold. Let him hero call. He very rarely has a boat/quads or higher flush given his bet sizing.

Yeah I like a raise to $80, you can fold if he shoves.

so i'm thinking you called here.. left the casino up 3 BIs instead of 3.5

If he's a solid player, he will not be slowplaying or checking that extremely drawy flop with a set or two pair in a multiwaypot out of position. He may be trappy, but unless he's a horrible, horrible, OMG WTF LOL $H*T player, he will realize this is a horrid spot to trap.

So we need to play based on the assumption that flopped sets and two pair hands are a teeny, tiny % of his range, no matter what he does after checking that flop.

A reasonable range when he donk bets the turn would be something like 75% flush, straight, and combo draws and 20% pai/trips + gutshot, 5% boats.

You beat the heck out of that range, especially when you throw in fold equity. Raise the turn and snap call a shove because of (almost) never will a good player check-call that flop with anything that beats you on the turn, the only exception being 56. But 56 makes no sense... would a good, solid block bet trips there?

I would have pitched my cards across the table, said "PEACE BITCHES" and left. Limping UTG w/ 67s is just dumb to do in a FR game. You get yourself in tough situations, and 95% of the time, you are OOP. You can't put opponents ony kind of a range either.

play it from late position, hell, i'd raise it up depending on the amount of limpers.

+1

Although I'd add, though, that limping may not be the most profitable play with SCs in live poker, especially in LP on those occasional hands where there are less than 7 limpers.

Just call that river.

U were 7 (?!?) handed at the flop, so if he thinks just a little bit, he'll give u the flush (at least).
