BB: 20/13.5/1.85/cr flop 5.6 over 12k hands, havent seen anything special yet, mostly mined hands, seems like the standard tagish reg
SB: 59/12/2.6/ cr flop 6.8 over 448 hands 3bet pre 3.8 over this small sample
preflop: not sure about that, his reraise is small, i have a decent multiway hand, im in position so i decided to call... i might be pretty dominated pair wise but i can probably pot control well in position...
which kinda leads to the flop play:
do you bet here when checked, too? if so, smaller? what now? im getting like 3 to 1 which still sucks if BB has a set here 100% of the time, but he might also c/r sth like JTs, maybe KQs... not sure =]

hate the call preflop
flops about the best thing you could get
and you are getting great odds to ship the rest in on your nutflush draw

i fold preflop as his 3bet range is pretty tight and stacks are shallow, flop i probably just shove and gamboool in the heat of the moment.

Yeah with AJ we're not in good shape vs his 3-bet range pf alright.

Prob just get it in now and hope the board doesn't pair.

is this really a shove?
equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 26.605% 26.55% 00.06% 38838 81.00 { AsJs }
Hand 1: 62.942% 62.94% 00.00% 92076 0.00 { 9c9d, 9c9h, 9d9h, 3c3d, 3c3h, 3d3h, JsTs }
Hand 2: 10.453% 10.40% 00.06% 15210 81.00 { JJ+, AKs, AKo }

this is for the mainpot, ill have around 26% for the sidepot, too getting effective odds of like 1.8-1

the mainpot u can obviously just stove it assuming u basically got FD + weird backdoor outs

preflop i don't like, you call with AJs vs a 3bet without even closing the action, vs a guy who 3bet an utg raiser

Preflop bad but gotta call
07-12-2008 , 10:03 AM
i can call here now on the flop, but im basicly comitted to call the turn bet (on a non paired board) so i just calculated my effective odds which give me 1.8-1 (which means a fold is the rigth play, obv i shoved anyway =[ )

novles if you get the chance, could you care to expand on why you disagree?

HEN,

We're basically getting 4.3:1 immediate odds on the call since SB is calling the extra $10 100% of the time. We have position, although it'd be nice to have both absolute and relative position, we still get to act last! And we get to play an inflated pot with a fish involved with a deepish stack. If SB were a TAG or had 100bb, or if BB made it >$21 (just a guesstimate, I didn't do any math), I can see folding as a more viable option.
