Poker Stars $0.50/$1 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

BTN: $100.00
SB: $100.50
BB: $156.70
Hero (UTG): $101.50
MP: $132.95
CO: $157.50

Pre Flop: ($1.50) Hero is UTG with J J
Hero raises to $4, MP calls $4, 3 folds, BB calls $3

Flop: ($12.50) J 3 9 (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $10, MP folds, BB calls $10

Turn: ($32.50) 2 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $25, BB folds

In this example the villain was a loose-passive fish.

What is the default line here.

I have to bet to protect my hand and for value for sure.
If I get shoved over I can't call for my boat outs?
Bet/folding seems meh as well.

I'm confused.

I think you can bet the turn a little bigger here,
If he's a loose passive fish im tempted to just bet/call the turn..
I dont think youre doing much wrong if you getit in w topset here.
Or is it ?

Yeah I'd bet/fold the turn too but bigger, here you tippically want to bet/bet/bet and fold if you're raised and have not improved.

Probably not too awful given that fish play s/f and will usually have the flush to continue. Personally I am suspicious and prefer b/c since he might have a funly 2pair like J9ss or just a strong draw to the nuts.

I vbet 3 streeets for value, more on turn to set up river shoooove

bet/call against a loose passive fish.

the only hands that beat us are flushes IMO.

I think you played it well, assuming you were going to instacall his overshove and do a dance around the room.
If he is a fish, he could be overshoving with any twopair, top pair, XxAs, lower set... etc.
But you have to fire a bet on the flop as well as on the turn because of protecting your hand and building the pot up, so wp..

he has top set and there's no straights possible so its not really your opinion that only flushes has top set beat. its fact. poor usage of IMO. imo.
