UTG was a huge fish running 68/28 over 70 hands, fold cbet F/T: 30/50 and I've seen him calling a 4straight board with slowplayed AK

CO was pretty decent running 21/17 over 200 hands, folds cbet: 43

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $1(BB) Replayer
SB ($99)
BB ($100)
UTG ($228)
Hero ($100)
CO ($117)
BTN ($168)

Dealt to Hero 9 9

UTG calls $1, Hero raises to $7, CO calls $7, fold, fold, fold, UTG calls $6

FLOP ($22.50) 3 6 A

UTG checks, Hero ?

Can we just c/f here? I think even agains the fish it's a bit thin since he can have any ace in his range and given that the CO is still in and coldcalls my huge raise I think he has a very strong range and I think it's even possible that he flatted a monster pre.

I'd check. I think you can safely fold if the CO bets, because he's not going to be bluffing into the fish here often. If it checks through I'll probably call one street if the fish donks the turn.

I prefer either bet/fold or check fold. I dont really want to make a decision on the turn when a card < 9 comes and fish bets again. Same on the river.

I'd just cbet this board 100% of the time - you don't need to cbet very large either. Even a fish is usually folding without a pretty decent hand. Blah blah getting them to fold worse, blah blah. It protects your hand and makes it easier/more profitable to play.

I don't think this guy will. He'd probably call me with 73s. Anyway I stoved a little bit and a 1/2 pot cbet is probably +ev if the CO still folds his underpairs like TT-KK which I'm not sure he will since he probably thinks that I'll cbet this board 100% and he still crushes the fishes range.
I think c/f isn't terrible but lets say it checks through, turn is a J and

a) the fish bets 1/2-2/3 pot
b) the fish checks

I would consider 73s a pretty decent hand and getting called by it certainly isn't a bad thing! The point is to avoid having to make soul reads. Imagine the turn is 2 and the donk does his thing. There's no ABC answer to that spot and I think putting yourself in it is just -EV compared to simply betting the flop.

To protect money is no reason to bet.

There are 3 reasons to bet:

1. Value
2. Bluff
3. collect dead money

and I agree to c/f cause this spot is way to tuff if the co bets and the donk calls.
