NL100 turned TP good enough for stacktown? NL100 turned TP good enough for stacktown?

Villain is playing 23/14/2.3 over 1.3k hands. I have a note that he has lead/folded J62 two tone flop once.

I don't have a history of barreling overcards a lot on the turn though. He has $42.85 left on the turn. Should I bet-call or is checking back a better option?

Everest - $1 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 4 players

BTN: $113.65
SB: $58.85
BB: $68.75
Hero (UTG): $99.50

SB posts SB $0.50, BB posts BB $1.00

Pre Flop: ($1.50) Hero has J Q

Hero raises to $3.50, fold, SB calls $3.00, fold

Flop: ($8.00, 2 players) 9 9 8
SB bets $4.00, Hero raises to $12.50, SB calls $8.50

Turn: ($33.00, 2 players) Q
SB checks, Hero?

i think checking back to call river is better since it will keep his range wider. i think a turnbet is going to end up valuetowning ourselves.

villain is a fish...why do you care about balance? he's not paying enough attention to notice.

yes top pair is good enough to stack a 50bb fish. i'd gaybet turn and ship river.

Lol the only draw got there and he is folding anything you beat to a turn bet anyway. He is pretty damn tight and I really don't think there are any hands in his range on the turn that you beat that are going to stack off.

I would probably check back the turn and on a blank river just call his bet or bet around 18 if checked to me. probably fold on A/K on river if villain bets.
