Villian is SN, first hand on that table, so no stats yet...
PF my plan was 4bet/call

Donīt understand the Flop call from Villian, is he trapping with KK, AA or what?
(Still going broke here)

Whatīs about the Turnplay...Maybe itīs better to CB for inducing a River Bluff...?

hes getting 18:73,50 so he need 19% for a neutral call

not sure about his holdings here.. Id play it similar imo

haha you bet 18 you are gonna get a called light. i prefer a shove on the flop
10-18-2009 , 11:25 AM
Ïf he is a good regular only hand he can have here is AA. If he is a fish then Id prefer bigger cbet and ship on the turn. He isn't folding Tx or PP or whatever he called the 4bet, into a slightly bigger bet so I suggest you do that.

You....want to be called light?

Also, it doesn't matter if you think he's trapping with AA/KK here, you have an overpair in a 4 bet pot, thats stack time.

Your 4bet-size is very strange. I 'd bet at least $32. Flop and turn are fine.
10-18-2009 , 12:18 PM
4bet pre bigger to at least $32 so you get a nice pot bet shove on the flop, now you have to overshove flop or make a weird small cbet for a normal turn shove.

nope, his range is a bit wider...

as said, id 4bet to 32 as well, make it a bit bigger on the flop and ship turn. doesnt matter that much anyway, cause if u think about not getting it in here than why did you even 4bet pre

Yea of course his range is wider. But I ment the range which is gonna call the cbet. That range is calling a slightly bigger bet too. If you get my point.

lol, we want to get called light

You played it fine. You're 4bet size is fine, and I like your flop betsizing. Shoving the turn is fine, and I way prefer it to checking back.

the 4bet size is std w/ this effective stacksize. we r just a 100bb deep

id make a note that he calls 4bets and 4bet bigger for value in the future
10-18-2009 , 12:58 PM
lol @ some strange answers

Turnplay:
You all bet here?
Or someone would like to check, so maybe with Air he is openshoving River?
10-18-2009 , 01:06 PM
4bet size is actually fine with these stacks, keeps in his ace ten king ten type hands that are stingy

Interesting that noone wants to flatcall 3bet pre. As played I size flop halfpot and turn halfpot or check, we cannot fold 100bb deep after we have 4bet pre at least not on this board.

bigger 4bet :| I like chcking turn to induce a river bluff, I don't think you're getting called light on the turn, so checking seems good

I like flat pre

Are you saying we need to be value 4betting wider so we can 4bet bluff wider because our isolating range will be wider than our standard opening range and harder to balance and an aggressive reg can exploit us?

Or are you saying in general, even without the limper we should 4bet QQ as a standard vs everyone?

Or do you have extra info on 'SN' that i don't know about(never played him)

If it's the 2nd point, then i disagree and think it's fine to flat without any history/info.
If it's the first then i can see your point, we are opening ourself up more, i still don't have a problem with either play though.
