Opponent was a SUPER nit at 14/9 after 600 hands. AF was high at 7.7 and he doesn't steal much, but he likes to 3bet. Also we didn't battle much prior to this as he pretty much always folded. See the hand, then I'll post my question below.

Full Tilt Poker $0.50/$1 No Limit Hold'em - 5 players

BTN: $100.80
SB: $119.65
BB: $165.20
Hero (UTG): $134.85
CO: $100.00

Pre Flop: Hero is UTG with K K
Hero raises to $3, CO calls $3, BTN calls $3, SB calls $2.50, BB calls $2

Flop: ($15.00) 5 3 2 (5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $11, CO raises to $30, BTN folds, SB folds, BB folds, Hero calls $19

Turn: ($75.00) Q (2 players)
Hero bets $101.85 all in, CO tanks using most of his time bank and then starts typing in the chat box:
opp: this doesnt make any sense
me: got a set?
opp: I turbo call with a set
opp: you played your overpair extremely poorly. probably the worst possible way.

Final Pot: $75.00
Hero wins $72.00
(Rake: $3.00)

Question: What the hell did he have? He's aggressive on the flop, and postflop, but I'm assuming he must have had a PP like JJ? I don't really know. Was the turn shove horrible?

Rather then a turn shove I think your better off going for a check raise allin or a smaller turn bet hoping to get raised all in. When you make this huge shove your really only going to get called by sets and made flushes. By checking you could induce him to semi bluff one of his draws or to bet a lower pair. If you bet a smaller amount on the turn you are then both charging his draws and giving him a chance to bluff raise you.

You didn't play it as bad as you could have but don't think you got max value.

lol at thread title and I shove the flop.

evazan: Look at stacks. His opponent has a *less* than a PSB left on the turn.

Folding the flop can't be that bad. Villain is a nit (I hate giving action to nits) and has raised after you've Cbet a low board with 4 people in the pot. Villain clearly likes his hand and isn't bothered by the fact that SB and BB could come over the top of his raise. I don't him raising with 66+ very often.

As played the turn shove is kind of pointless, as you fold all worse hands and get called by better.

All - with his VPIP/AF stats - this can be easily something like 99-TT, AQ type stuff. You lose to like %1 of his 9% ccpf range. Also - if he had a set on that board he wouldn't gay-raise giving everyone and his sister odds to call with one of the ton of draws out there.
