Villain is 16/11/5, no specific reads. Should I have bet/folded the turn? If I bet turn and he calls, what's the river plan?

Why do you considering folding turn?

Bet turn, bet river imo.

Don't check turn. Bet and mostly call and boat up if he raises (unless you bet like $12 and he raises to like $50, then fold obv). As played bet/fold river.

I don't dislike your line. I think it's fine.

i like it but
you really hate a 4th spade coming off on the river with this line

i bet/call turn
he got a pretty high aggro dont know about how many hands but this board seems perfect to raise with a fd.
i would bet turn bet river to fold an A will be hard for him i think.

Bet turn for value and call a shove, villain will still stack off with AQ, 44 and 66 on the turn.

Edit: maybe don't call a shove.

I expect him to raise 44 and 66 on the flop given his AF and there are more XsXs hands in his range than only AQ where you can't even be sure if he doesn't 3-bet it BvB. So either B/F (or B/C considering odds to boat up) to get some value from an Ace or in particular AsXx or C/C all the way (like you did). I think it's really player dependend if you think he'll be raising draws, bluffs or a weird two Pair here on the turn. If the answere is no then B/F turn otherwise go into C/C mode.

...

imo

93,87% of the nits would 3b this flop with set imo

Maybe AQ, very improbable.
