Villain is unknown. I just sat at the table and folded BB/SB.

$100.00 No Limit Hold'em - 5 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

Hero (BTN): $100.00
SB: $110.55
BB: $101.40
UTG: $184.45
CO: $100.00

Pre Flop: ($1.50) Hero is BTN with 4 8
2 folds, Hero raises to $4, SB calls $3.50, 1 fold

Flop: ($9.00) A A 9 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $6.00, SB calls $6

Turn: ($21.00) J (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks

River: ($21.00) 5 (2 players)
SB bets $12.00, Hero raises to $32, SB raises to $100.55

Villain tanked for a bit before shoving. Do you guys see people doing this with Ax? I just don't think I'm good here enough % of the time. On another note how's my river raise size?

Gross spot. I'd fold, this looks a lot like a flush (and all imaginable flushes except 76 beat you)/boat.

I wouldn't have raised the river. Now you turned your weak flush into a bluff (you're repping a FH here), and you have to fold imo.

FYP.

I think there's some value in raising the river as a lot of Aces would still call you. However, given the 3B, you're pretty much screwed here. The odd time him might be overplaying his AK, but given the pf action, I don't think this the case here.

lol... not raising the river is stupid and your reasoning is even worse.

am i wrong to want bet the turn putting him on a flush like 80% of the time?

I dont mind raising the river, but in my experience at 100 NL none of the good players will ever raise you here with worse, so you have to fold to the shove. Would be nice if villain wasnt unknown however.

most ppl don't chase flushes on a paired board. it's more likely that he has an Ace and you will get c/r and miss out on your backdoor draw.

i dont think he shoves anything that you beat and this is almost never a bluff. fold.

raising river was still correct
