Everest No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (6 handed)

saw flop

BB ($100)
UTG ($185.90)
MP ($99.60)
CO ($100)
Hero (Button) ($105.40)
SB ($97.85)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 10, 10
2 folds, CO checks, Hero bets $5, SB calls $4.50, 1 fold, CO calls $4

Flop: ($15) 9, Q, 5 (3 players)
SB checks, CO checks, Hero ?

CO posted a bb.

SB is 33/8 over 12 hands. CO is unknown. I'm a little bit lost here. I don't expect to get called by many weaker hands but if I check there are lots of turn cards that are bad for me. What do you usually do in this situation?

I'd fire $9ish here.. I think one or the other will def. peel with 9x/JT often enough here. As far as future streets assuming we have a caller I'd bet any non-8 non-K turn, checkback a jack on the turn, and, assuming we double barrel, check back river.

I usually check in these spots.

If turn bricks and SB or CO bets u can, in most cases, just fold.

I think u need to have bit history against villain to call turn bet with mid pair.

If both check I'd bet like 1/2- 2/3xpot.

I like betting here. There are not many Qs in Villains range and you might get value from A9, Q9, JT, T9, 98 and what not. If you get called you can check behind turn and see what happens on the river.

Simply checking and giving up when either Villain bets the turn is way too weak, imho. We´re repping AK when we check behind the flop and I would take a stab with ATC in this situation in COs shoes on a bricked turn.

yup, betting is prolly the best

What are worried about? You raised preflop, two callers, innocent flop, they both check = C-BET!

Betting is so standard here, checking doesnt get called by worse a lot but its a lot better than checking it back and guessing on all future streets.

this. I'd rather get value on the flop and double barrel turn blanks for very thin value on the turn so that it sets up an easy river check. Villains aren't regs so it's def. the best way to get value from fish.
