NL100 another JJ in 3bet pot hand NL100 another JJ in 3bet pot hand

Villian is 24/20 and I have been 3betting him a few times.
Previous 3bet pot I lost with AQ TPTK vs his straight with jacks.

a check minraise is usually not a good thing....i hate being a nit but i fold without knowing more

Bad spot to be in. Just call it and see if he gets frisky on the turn, then fold it?

If you think he's capable of doing this with 99, TT and AK you could go for a CRAI on the turn. I think it's either fold or call this and get in on a non A or K turn. I find JJ OOP in 3bet pots so hard to play. I'd be really interested to see what others have to say about this.

If you've been under his skin I think I would just go with it here, i think its likely enough hes trying to make some stupid play rather than actually show up with QQ+. You can call and let him continue bluffing or just shove, I think both are fine but I probably just go with it and live with the results. Also show us the AQ hand

I call and get it in on turn.

I don't think a fold is terrible though.

i don't mind the 3bet, but calling is better than 3betting jj and then b/fing overpairs (usually). just 3bet with air instead if you're gonna do that, and at least get some value out of your jj when you have it.

yes.

*Grunch*

It's marginal but I think I shove giving history. I have noticed that people seem to min raising more to stop people in their tracks and represent a set which is what could be happening here.

didnt think he would call a shove ): but shoving would probably be correct

i'd fold....i don't think calling pf is terrible but lol @ calling being std.
11-11-2007 , 05:19 PM

grunch (and I suck):

I like preflop. Not calling here as I've no idea what he could have.

Flop - with no reads I'd fold, as a significant part of his range just made a set. With that read.... hmmmm, its a close one between folding and shoving. Given stack sizes I probably shove.
