never. you have the second nuts vs a donkey, sorry he had 57 but its a all everytime
01-07-2008 , 06:05 PM
you can, but you shouldn't. Sucks if he has 57, but he will show up with random 2pair hands more than enough to be a call.

No, but I probably fire a 2nd barrel on the turn which may have taken it down. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Sure i also fire a second barrel sometimes in this spot, but i dont think that would change much, because those donks call even with their gutshots most of the time.
I mean its obvious that he had 75 but i just ask myself if i really have to stack off neraly 150 bb deep when the pot is that small on the river.

How big the pot is and how deep you are is sort of irrelevant in some sense. The call against his range is either +EV or it isn't. Obviously you don't have to stack off without the nuts, but you are probably losing money in the long run by folding the 2nd nuts in this spot. You'll see donkeys show up with 2 pair or sets in these spots, so unless he very passive, which the river AF argues against, then a call is the correct (albeit high variance) play here.

Pretty easy to chalk it up to a cooler, however raising a normal ammount on the river unsticks you from the pot.
