really good stuff. i'm impressed. it good to see someone thinking about the game in meta-psychological sense. and just in a practical way. i enjoyed it. and the music-memory thing does work. its pretty crazy. thats good for more than just poker

good post.

All of the principles etc in here are great, but I think the graphical representation of comfort zone is pretty arbitrary. The message that it conveys is a good one, but there is nothing to suggest that drawing your comfort zone as the area of a shape has any kind of validity. The graphs suggest that an increase in c increases your comfort zone size an amount dependant on the values of b and d, but not a, with equivalent cyclic permutations. But there is no reason to suppose this, or any other kind of relationship.

Great post though.

Great post though.
Yea, these graphs don't pretend to be perfect, I just wanted to make some illustration that will help with understanding the subject. It's pretty hard to make very accurate illustrations of comfort zone, the idea is what really matters

I am not trying to be negative here but I am really amazed that the music and picture thing are producing this response. I just imagined myself steaming with my head buried in my keyboard screaming "god what did I do to you? Why must you hate me like this?" Not a pretty site and draping a funny picture frame around it and playing it to circus music isn't helping.

It was like a real holiday when we won vs. Neitherlands! Everybody went to the streets, main streets were closed for cars and everybody was soooo ****ing drunk and happy!
So government said they won't sell alcohol tomorrow outside pubs
But anyway, we'll **** them all and win the championship! GOGOGOGOGO_RUSSIA

even tho russia is awesome now, spain has a psycologic edge after winning in early rounds with 4-1, so nothing about this tournament is written in stone, even tho im cheering for russia.

obv sweden sucks as allways
