NL 1-2 100 Max

Brand spanking new table with only four of us playing while the other people are at the gate.

First hand UTG Hero is dealt AA.

Given the fact we are 4 handed, is limping here the best play?

(I hadn't seen aces in a looooooong time and of course this is the spot i get them

)

Being short is all the more reason for raising, not less...

With these stacks there's more reason NOT to limp-raise. Just raise 4 or 5x the bb, cbet flop, bet turn, shove river. Nothing is easier than playing AA with 50 bbs

Being short means that your AA is a "better" hand. AA real deep while still being the nuts preflop is not that valuable afterwards as people while playing deep have way more room to move.

With 50bb, you should just raise, and you are short enough to get it in by the turn if you think you are good. Which against most live players (especially here in EIRE) is nearly always.

limping is a recipe for disaster. Course if you post flopgame is strong and you own the table,limp by all means but be prepared to fold em.

in short..... Raise pre flop. lol

ok, i guess the OP is a moron (me!)

I dunno, I raised and it just folded around. I was just mad I raked a 3.00 dollar pot with aces.

Happens, but it's way better doing that then limping, having 5 others limp in behind you, flop comes 89T and you want you shoot yourself. Especially with only 50bb, your plan with aces should be raise and and then bet bet bet until all of your money is in the pot.
