Check behind. Classic way ahead or way behind situation.

If he then leads the turn, you're in a tough spot, but vs a nit I would probably fold to any serious action.

check behind, call/bet the turn

If you are checking behind with the intentions of calling a small turn and river bet then it may be in your best interest to bet the flop and shut down afterwards. This is very player dependent and can't be based strictly off of preflop vpip numbers...

16/8 nit, i put him on following hand if he call you rr and c the A flop

JJ, QQ
AQs, AJs

he will not have AK since you have the K and if he have AK, he will not check the flop cus there's no way you have AA

i think he got JJ and QQ more than often than he got AQ and AJ, and i don't think he will check the A flop if he holding AQ and AJ, i will make a small bet here and see what he do
