"Judas Christ" is a supertight nit, I don't have his stats because this is cake poker. Anyway, when he goes $44 after I raised him to $15, I just know that he has KK. His opening range UTG+1 pre is obviously extremely narrow, and no way is he coming back over the top with AK or AA, that's just not how these guys roll. God I wish I'd just insta-fold-show-handed him that would have been so beautiful.

Only reason I move in here is because I got this idea somewhere that "you can't fold in this spot no matter how certain you are", pretty much the same stuff some people say about KK preflop.

This is no BBV thread. I just want to discuss the following: Is it allowed to fold in this spot?

to be fair, i only read the title of the thread, but no. no you cant.

first off, this is much different than folding kk preflop bc there are fewer combinations of hands that beat you here. further, if you wanna raise/fold this so badly (which is lol) then calling is better.

you poor thing... a bad beat

Are you referring to the fact that there's only three kings left in the deck in this spot, wereas with KK pre there is four aces in the deck, allowing many different combinations of AA, thus making these spots much different?

Buy In full, post in correct forum and never fold here!

I dunno, I only play 6-max and if this guy is 9/6/.9 or something then maybe some FR specialist will tell you to fold but your not gonna find that here.

call every time

lvl... u cant fold NEVER EVER!

Wtf is the point of a thread like this if you already have your mind made up.

You said it yourself he wouldn't come over the top with AA or AK, what about bottom set? If you have a read than go with it. I would need something insanely convincing to fold a set on that board personally, but it sounds like you don't really need us to tell you much.

Sorry that I posted this in the wrong forum boys. Anyway I guess the thread is kind of coloured by the fact that I got a bit upset, lol.

I know the concept of folding in this spot is very unfamiliar for most people, especially you guys that play shorthanded and I guess the reason I posted it was to see if there is anybody out there who would actually agree that it is possible to fold here.

As for bottom set: There is no way he is opening for a raise preflop with 22.

Anyway sorry for messing up your form with this spewy full ring nonsense.

Huge LVL?.. Everyone open raises with pocket pairs. Wat about KJ? he'll definitely come over the top of your re-raise. He could also have a really good flush+straight draw.
10-05-2008 , 04:50 PM
I take that back there is no flush draw.. but still 22, KJ are still likely
10-05-2008 , 04:53 PM
not in full ring.
