Villain is a solid player who I haven't played much with before. He was running at 17/15/2.5 over 60 hands and had a 3 bet % of 13 according to my PT however at the time of the hand I believe it was less - between 5% and 8%.

I'm feeling really unconfident with my game at the moment. Any suggestions on how to get back on track would be much appreciated.

I would generally just call the flop and see what he does in turn..of course it is kind of tricky because you dont want to see higher card`s in turn but I just dont feel comfortable to put it all in in flop.
btw I think the way you played it is +EV also

...
