J8 two pair FPS on a dry board J8 two pair FPS on a dry board

Villain is a total unknown, first hand in.
I minraised to make sure he tags along with everything that remotely connects with the board and allow him complete freedom to go insane with a wide range.
On that turn I should never check a made hand and I really doubt he checks behind given how this hand was played so far.

hate it, make it bigger on flop, as played i would bet turn

u really think he's going to fire something u beat on this turn when u just minraised his raise on flop?

he will check back AJ, he will bet QT, J9, 44, etc

dont like this line at all

his most likely hand is T9 which checks back

I don't mind the min-3bet i guess. But since u know nothing about him, he could be calling with a wide range here, and that turn just brought a whole load more draws to the table.
I think i would go ahead and bet turn as he might just decide to check those draws back since bet/3bet the flop might make him a little bit warry of bluffing when he picks up equity, even tho it was a min-raise.

This seems quite spewy to me. Not sure how the turn should be played though, but I really don't like how you got there on that flop.

do you really expect him to ever bet turn with worse? do you expect an unknown to know you never check a made hand? really don't like this.

If you want him to go insane with a wide range then minraising it back on the flop is dumb imo and you should flat flop. You have a made hand basically always with that line in most people's eyes which stands out a ****load more than cleverly checking the turn w/ a made hand lol.

call flop, c/c turn. i don't think we can assume an unkown stacks off with less then 2 pair here. so i'd like to get maximum value out of his air.

obv c/r Jx turn and a few other drawy turn where he could suspect you of semibluffing and might call with TPGK+

i dont like this line. going for a turn c/r after a flop min3b is out-of-control-ridiculous-strong AND hes going to check back the turn almost always.

What on earth are you monkeying around on the flop with top 2 and the small 3bet.

and as said - turn check is also very bad cuz he checks back so much
