interesting squeeze spot interesting squeeze spot

so i get squeezed by a pretty nitty player 18/16 type.

reads on him are that he plays very straightforward.

plan here is to try and induce 3 way action with all 3 of us having deep stacks. i was probably peeling on alot of flops as i felt he was never doublebarelling me as a bluff

other guy is a 40/20 fish

standard. Check behind any other river though ofc.

Looks fine to me.

Edit: Bet river less since it looks like he hates his hand.

I think bet/calling on the turn is okay for protection and allowing him to bluff. He pretty much never has a hand when he checks twice but I think he might think you have nothing from checking behind the flop.

This line is fine too, he just has AK and is folding here a lot.

i agree with fees about the small bet size

looks like with this betsize AK afraid of sets and really afraid of this board. NH WP

yeah postflop is somewhat interesting as he has to have AK really, and my read seems correct that he is straightforward, lol

i was more interested to hear your thoughts on preflop and my general plan for the hand. is my thinking accurate.

assuming villain has pretty tight range like TT+, AQ+ and small air range is it +EV to call here because i can't play for exact pair value and get it in with an overpair cos i will be crushed. but i can't exactly purely setmine either unless donk is coming along for the ride often (which he probably is, so....) so i am sort of set mining mixed with trying to showdown/take pot away when he has whiffed overs

Against someone super straightforward your line and plan is good, but

"plan here is to try and induce 3 way action with all 3 of us having deep stacks. i was probably peeling on alot of flops as i felt he was never doublebarelling me as a bluff"

is suicide against someone who can handread ldo. I got my sould owned in almost exactly this situation by a goot 400NL reg.

You can only get a call from JJ I think, which means you can bet more since AK can't call a bet no matter how small it is

why not bet the turn when you possibly have the best hand? I really don' t mind the bet flop either, check raise is the info you need, but if you don't bet the flop deff bet the turn.

imo
