The increase of ridiculous threads. The increase of ridiculous threads.

10-19-2010 , 12:09 AM
Can't you people who keep posting these threads about folding second nuts 100bb deep just stop? It feels like every other thread I open these days is about folding KK pre or nut full house on the river, or some herocall with results that happend to work (where the poster obviously wants everyone to approve of his play).

I know I'm not really contributing by posting a ridiculous thread myself though, but this has gotta stop.

3 bet or fold pre. As played, I like checking for the reasons The Velour Fog stated.

in all fairness my question was essentially why make it 12 lol so..... ive also since realised its not a min3bet, sigh

i was by no means slating it or w.e, just not something you see very often so i was interested.

i'm assuming its along the lines of you having a greater skill advantage postflop and so you want to both encourage postflop action and keep stacks as deep as possible to allow you to maneuvre but i'm not entirely sure.

i'll openly admit 3betting to 18/20 was something that was learned for me via 2+2, rather than something i thought about :/

The small 3Bet is because a lot of players call with their entire opening range because lol pot odds and don't realize they'll be playing out of position with a fairly wide range in a pot that's larger than normal.
10-19-2010 , 11:37 AM
cool, tx

The end result is them playing fit-or-fold on the flop and you winning more than usual. It's not a bad move to use with medium suited hands, suited connectors, low pp, etc. You can't always call and hope to flop something.

If you didn't understand that, then I'll just say:

"it increases yo redline, yo"

lol im not a ******, i understand what youre saying, but ty for the explanation sir.

like i said when you get so used to seeing 9-11bb 3bets its a little strange to see one for 6bb

I was just directing that to anyone in this section that will be like "uhm...ok." I wasn't trying to be condescending to you.
