But its bb v utg, so my range is stronger, he folds to 80% of 3bets, so his range is stronger. He seems quite tight over the sample I have.

Against anyone else who either flats alot of 3bets or I have aggressive history with or is simply a more aggressive player I obv either c/shove b/c depending on reads, but in this situation, with his range, and his perception of my range, and my admittedly limited stats based read on him, I am asking if this is one of the occasions where this is a fold.

I feel like ramdom was the only person to actually put serious effort into the response, and he aggrees. Id be interested in an equally convincing post arguing why it should be a stack off instead of 'ldo you have da big pair gets it in nit'.

Stove has it as basically equal equity between shove/fold, and I personally believe I may be being too generous with giving him jj/99. Its 100nl v a seemingly straightforward player
like bilbo said call pre then. see, there's always a simple answer

Meh I didnt see what his f/3bet stats were until after I had 3bet, and I think saying dont 3bet is results oriented. I mean if the turn bricks im auto getting it in, this is imo the worst turn card for me basically. Also I have a lot more information about his range when he simply flats flop and bets turn.

It is also a pretty crap flop. I mean should I not 3bet qq because the board was akj?

I guess Its a stack off situation, though I disagree its as easy as everyone says

I read the hole thread and everything I have in my mind is: "Why do you 3bet pre vs someone you expect to be a total nit in 3bet Pots w/ QQ?"

This might be the only reason to not get it in here...

not really, given positions, if you think his range is that tight for calling

Which it isn't, considering 11 isnt a big sample and a lot of those could have been when he was oop at a full table...

+1 and 3b to 11bb pre, you are just asking to be set-mined and you are OOP. The last time I did the math I came up with it being ok to call 6bb pre vs [QQ+,AK] as a setmine and having it be +EV (100 deep obv), you are only asking him to call 6.5bb so its super thin value for you. 11bb and its a terrible set mine for him, plus pot is bigger and you can get in stacks easier on good boards.
