probably the right choice on the river, but I dislike your sizing otherwise. More everywhere, especially pre and on the turn, you want to play a big pot vs a 53/20 not a small pot.

Look at river if he just calls, you can't get his stack even though it was only 60bbs to begin with.

wow, this is NL100 right? The biggest fish on earth has a 60 bb stack only and you fail at getting his whole stack in by the river ...

bet more preflop, bet more on flop, bet more on turn, shove river, don't worry, easy game.

Bet more pre, flop, turn, then shove river. As played bet smaller on the river to give yourself more room to b/f.

as mentioned: betsizing is bad

River: I call. We need 20ish%, i expect to see a lot of flushes, but these guys have weird 2pairs / other weird worse hands as well.

It just sucks when we bet big on the river and have to fold to such a small raise (have to call $23 for a $96 pot). Well that was the thinking behind my statement, but could be totally wrong I guess.

don't bet this small pre when you have bad players in the blinds. Even though I am sure you are opening wider by betting smaller you just don't need to do this. Just play your hands that can make top pair type hands and 3-4x the button. The fish will call with a wide range and you can get the SPR up. As played fold the river.

I call and lose a bunch but he doesn't have to have worse very often to show a profit.

On the river, we want to extract as much value as we can. The more we bet, the more we win. I don't expect to be check-raised here very often. Sometimes this will happen but it should not influence our value betting in the first place.

I'd say that it is much less of a mistake to always bet $30 and never fold when he shoves, than to bet $20 and always fold to a check-shove.
